I noticed today on the LDA site a 4th district/regional for Canada
Its the same dates as the Western events, and would appear its being held at 3 different locations at the same time ??
I'm not familiar with the guy listed as site director
Does anyone know anything about him , and why they are doing the locals at 3 different locations that appear to be far apart from each other Huh?

Nobody seems to know much about this one yet
I've done some research myself
Val Morin golf appears to be on the west side of Montreal
Royal Charbourg is in or near Quebec City, which is 3 hours away from Val Morin
Chateau Bromont is on the souteast side of Montreal, which is 2 hours driving from Val Morin, and over 3 hours from Quebec City

As it would appear, there is little to no chance to hit at one location, drive to another and hit in another. So effectively there is only ONE local qualifier per day for 2 days  as the events start at 530pm and somehow go until 9pm at each of the locations

Does anyone know the site director / does he come on incepta ?

I'd assume they are doing these qualifers on a golf hole = the reason they start at 530pm ?

I guess if a guy really wanted to , hit early at Val Morin post a number, drive 2 hours to Chateau bromont and try to duke it out there between 8 and 9pm

Further to that, the district on Sunday at Val Morin starts at 530pm. Thats seniors + open. I sure hope they have a lit facility because I figure they'll be on round 6 of the open division around 9pm

I hope the event is a huge sucess, dont get me wrong I am not trying to bash the guy running it, just have never seen an event laid out that way, nor can I imagine there will be enough time for a district Sunday night. Ryan's event in Ajax was extremely well ran, fast paced - seniors started 10am and I think it was over around 4pm or 430 ?

According to the site the (sunday night) district has a different format then standard LDA district.

24 open split in 4 groups of 6
(details : http://www.championnatremax.com/public/40b402b6-e53b-4d7f-b6d2-d2fbf4a07e7a/mes_documents/EN/05-processus_elimination_finales_regionales.pdf

Umm.....
Given the elimination process - and ignoring the 'precision' division

If each set was 2 on the tee. Took exactly 2:30 per set. No Breaks. No Delay. and no time between hitters
The tournament would take Just under 6 1/2 hours....for all divisions.

How exactly does this get accomplished on a sunday night in Montreal....?
if anyone has any info on who's actually running this can you post it.

This only info I can find is this guy.
'All cancellations must be faxed to the attention of Pierre Durivage at 450 668-2115, or by email, at championnatremax@remax-quebec.com. '
and supposedly they what qualifying cash up front.

Is this only for residents of Quebec? One of the rules is Grants, prizes and advantages that our local sponsors offer to the Edition QUEBEC 2010 winners are reserved for the residents of Quebec. I realize that there will be some translation errors but an "all expenses paid trip" loosely translated could be seen as a "grant." If anybody has some clarification on this it would be great.
