Shanks shootout Hotel information

Ok here is the scenerio. Rooms will not be offered for Shanks Shootout. I lost financing for them due to the lack of initial prepaid entrance fees. I'm sorry it took so long to post this but I've been begging and begging to get this done because of our turnout right now, but all I got for an answer was we will try again next year. I understand your frustrations about this, and believe you me I am frustrated as well seeing when I initially posted this in SEPTEMBER, and the turnout that said yes they will be there, this is what I approached potential sponsors with, and now about half are not coming or haven't said anything to either myself or Robbie at all. I am still trying to get discounted rooms at the Embassy suites, I was on the phone pretty much all day negotiating prices. They are not the same as initially received from before, and i'm calling the person back to finalize. I do know they have 9 rooms, but when I mentioned I needed about 20 they would be a mixture of doubles and king size. These are suites, so you guys can still double up in the king size. The person who I am dealing with at this moment is Katie Clark, and her number is 864-678-7115. She's only there till 1pm today, but After speaking to he I will relay info.

I am still getting calls from people wanting to get in, 5 yesterday alone. This will still be a great event, and again my deepest apologies for this. I will be making the brackets on Thursday and posting them. Friday is the Local qualifier for regions 1, 2, and 3, poker and pool tourneys are still on for Friday night. Robbie and I would like to thank everyone who have committed so far, and can't wait to meet those who we haven't met before. You guys will not be disappointed, if you never attended Shanks Shootout before.

Ok here is the gig. I do not have the block set up yet, but this is what i have. The rooms will cost 119.00 per day, but I need to know how many want them before I set the block up. If i set it up now, I will be responsible for 80% of the rooms I block. So let me know if you still want this or will you guys go on your own. I can find other locations, Robbie has checked motel 6, much cheaper but not the same perks. I need to let them know monday morning, which route we are taking.

I hate to say this, but.....
Brody... chill a little bit you've done enough already and if people wouldn't wait til the last possible second to commit, you wouldn't be dealing with this BS right now....
THIS IS WHY YOU HAVE AN ENTRY DEADLINE!!!!
PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE A LITTLE RESPECT FOR THE HARD WORK THAT GOES INTO TRYING TOP PUT AN EVENT TOGETHER!!!
 
How would you feel if you planned a dinner party for 20 people that said they'd be there, only to have 6 or 7 show up??
Or plan for the 10 that rsvp'd then the afternoon before an additional 10 more wantined to come??

Thanks for all of your efforts on this event.  I can't wait to get down there.  I am in for a room at the embassy for Thursday, Friday, Saturday.  Send me a PM if I need to set this up or if you will be setting up the rooms.  Also if anyone is looking to share a room for the event to save some cash shot me a PM.

Who here has already set up their rooms at embassy? I need a list to give to them so that they can change your rates. I'm calling by noon to set up a block.
