ROANOKE, TEXAS (March 19, 2010) - Long Drivers of America (LDA) today announced it has joined forces with Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville, Tennessee for a golf tournament/power golf event benefiting the LHM Educational Scholarship Fund.
LDA’s 2010 Tennessee Shootout, set for June 11-12, will be the third of LDA’s members-only power golf events in 2010, following the Desert Launch in March and Texas Shootout in April.
LDA members will compete in the Tenth Annual Laughlin Memorial Hospital Pro/Am Golf Tournament on Friday, June 11, then square off in an LDA-sanctioned competition, the Tennessee Shootout, on Saturday, June 12. Greeneville Federal Bank is the primary sponsor for the Tennessee Shootout portion of the event.
Top finishers at the Tennessee Shootout earn exemptions to the 2010 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship powered by Dick’s Sporting Goods, plus prize money.
Both the pro-am tournament and long drive competition take place at Graybsurg Hills Golf Course in Greeneville. In addition, the site will host a local qualifier for the 2010 RE/MAX WLDC on Friday afternoon, after the conclusion of the pro-am.

When conversations began about the possibility of LDA teaming with Laughlin, our response in the affirmative was immediate. We’re delighted to be involved.”

Entry fees for LDA’s 2010 Tennessee Shootout are $500 if paid by May 28, $600 thereafter.
