We will once again have qualifying / world's spots available from Canada
After a worst case 2009, we are heading into a "best case" 2010.
Events will be 2 days of local qualifying taking 24 guys into a Sunday district championship for 2 spots(pending a full field) in the worlds for the open division as well as 1 spot available for seniors
This "diamond in the desert" style format condenses the qualifying down to one site, one weekend, so there are not several trips involved in the old style locals & districts we had years ago
Currently events confirmed in Red Deer in July, and I will be running mine here in Nova Scotia in September(correct dates are Sept 10-11-12). Talks of 2-4 other events looming as long as there are people and sites to run them
A bit of a plug for my event
- range is almost 500 yards long, prevailing wind is down/crossing. Very good range owner will mow grid very short. Truro NS location is about 30 minutes from the Halifax International Airport, and 1 hr 20 minutes from Moncton NB. Usually some cheap flights on porter air and westjet into Halifax if you watch for seat sales.
Anyone thinking of running one of these events get to work and get a site confirmed, this can be better than ever for Canada
