just seeing who is a baseball fan and what they think of their team this year. I am a braves fan and if they stay healthy i believe they are playoff bound. winning 95 games this year. rotation looks great and new power addition at first is what they have really been lacking. just wanted to start talking baseball. i am getting the itch

I am a huge cardinal fan. I expect big things if carpenter and wainwright stay healthy. Two of the top 3 pitchers in the league with the best hitter ever is a pretty good combo.

Not if the Cubbies have anything to say about that. It will be a great year in the NL Central division, with the Cubs taking 1st and the Cards, well....not taking 1st

The phillies did pick up prob the best pitcher in either league for consistency. I am sorry but the cubs are........the cubs, they have the talent but they have the braves problem, they need to learn how to win.

Grew up North St Louis as a kid and now leave in EBF Georgia so I bleed Cardinal RED. I hope the Braves do well and get to play the Cardinals in the playoffs. Lord knows it will be easy to get tickets to. If it ain't Georgia Bulldogs (Yale wannabes !!! JK Koolaid), people in Georgia don't want anything to do with it.

Phillies got stronger with Halladay & Polanco, Hamels is stronger than last year, seems his mental state is better also. Not an easy out in the entire lineup & the bench is improved. Back to the World Series.

No doubt. Halladay is the best pitcher in the game. Consistent every year with Cy Young #'s Halladay and I had many battles on the field growing up in Denver. He played for the Red's. Best team every year. I think he was the same height at 12 years old? lol His sister was a great basketball player. She was 6'5"? Over the top at 6'5"!! His ball looked like it was coming from teh clouds. lol Excellent curveball!! He has lowered his arm angle since he was in highschool. He has the ability to move the ball in, out and down. at 95 mph? The Phillies might beat the Yankees this year in the series?

thats cool a rob!!!! i got to play against delmon young, and Garrett olsen, in high school. Actually there are a bunch of guys from my last two years in high school still playing but only those two reached the bigs i think. I have great stories about both of those guys!! When did the phillies become such big spenders though? ? my goodness the east in each league is getting a little out of hand with spending money! i wish mr turner was still dumping money into the braves. either way i think our rotation and increased bullpen strength along with an ACTUAL closer will shut down that switch hitting, base stealing, homerun hitting, rbi getting team. (kind of made myself feel bad after looking at the phillies depth chart today)

Tyler, It's usually October that they start to unravel, at least the last 2 out of 3 years...The Cards got lucky last year.

Brad Lidge is another from my area in Denver. He didnt start throwing hard until he got out of highschool his senior summer. grew like 5 inches and gained 7 mph. At first you would think steroids? he just hit a growth spurt later than normal. the rest is history. Travis Hafner was my workout partner. Will Ohman (Cubbie) another Denver kid Brad (Big Country) Elbred. Eric Chavez from OC. Junior Spivey another workout partner when I was in college as he would come back to get ready for spring training. My favorite opponent of all> Albert Pujols like I said in an earlier post he only played every other or every third game. he couldnt hit. lol now look at him.. Sorry for all my buddies who are in the bigs that I left out. lol

haha. yeah pujols signed for like 40k or something like that. It would have been fun to play a little minor league ball but i had to face reality. Pretty cool that you got to hang out with a few guys that play big league ball. Most of the guys i know gave out at A or AA ball. I acually faced two buddies a week after they got cut from AA ball in a sunday league. All i could think was holy crap i can literally crush these guys. haha. I have never got the chance to face actual mlb pitching talent though. I would like to face a guy that actually had some success. That would be awesome.
I have a good feeling about the braves, as long as the injuries dont pile up. They do have 4 pitchers that can be the ace of the rotation!!!!
