If you have been looking for a chance to see some of the very best and longest hitting long drivers of the world in action and tee it up against them here in Europe your wait is over. This tournament will not have the biggest money pot but it will have one of the toughest field of competitors ever seen in Europe. Now you don't need to travel all the way to Mesquite to hit against the very best, the very best are coming here!
Date: 2-3.7.2010
Place: Söderby GC (30min from Arlanda airport, Stockholm)
Prize money: 12.000$
Format: Double elimination group play, 8 man quarterfinals later in the evening, Worlds style match play from semifinals.
Grid: 450m long and 50m wide permanent long driving grid in great shape with 4m x 12m artificial turf tee box (like in Mesquite)
Practice facilities: practice range with new Callaway golf balls right next to the grid (grass, no mats)
Launch monitors: Flightscope launch monitors at the tee box (+ stats for free of cost for everybody after the competition)
Player tent: Water, sandwitches, wireless internet, fitness corner etc for the players
...And to the best part - THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITORS:
Dewald Guows (South Africa, runner up at Worlds 2008)
Ryan Louw (South Africa, 5th at Worlds 2009, longest drive in the whole competition with 419yards)
Mick Yelovich (USA, 3rd at Worlds 2009)
Ben Tuaone (USA, top 24 2009, Diamond in the Desert winner 2009, second longest drive at Worlds 2009 with 418yards)
Vincent "Pastaman" Ciurlini (Canada, Long Driving Legend)
James Horton (USA, 3xtop 25 at Worlds)
+ Joe Miller, Adam Stacey, Daniel Konyk, C-J Hellström...and all the best hitters from Europe.

The entry fee and what it will include will be announced during next week. It will be a package deal, around the same fee as usual in LD competitions in Scandinavia - except that you get free stuff for the same price! Trust me, it will be good...

Finland will take ower the 2010 M8s, not in Vancouver but defenetly in Long Drive...hah hah!!!
