Another great indoor in event today.  The about simulator worked very well and pick almost every ball, including 2 balls at 217 mph by Matt Gunning.  However the about simulator has a major flaw that any ball over 200 mph has diminishing returns, in other words 199 mph ball speed yeilds the greatest yardage, any more BS and it goes less far.  I will be in contact with their Tech department to try and come up with a solution.  We will defenetly have another to events next year.  To anyone else hitting on About Sims, put 8 large black stripes on your balls about 1 " long, in random places, this really helps with picking up spin and the ball in general at 200+ mph.  Thumbs up to Shawn for paying half of our bar Tab.   Drives with less than 8 deg launch were thrown out, the sim gives extra yardage and ball mph for most balls hit below 8 deg.

I would like to comment on one mistake you made RYAN!!!! It's freaking Glen with one freakin N, I mean c'mon is it really that hard, it's actually more work to write the extra N than it is to just write one N, and I know that if given a choice most people will take the easier route that gets the same result with less work done, so for Pete's sake just cut a corner and stop at one N already!!!

Seriously though, another great event by Jesse and Ryan, true ambassadors of the sport of LD for us Albertans.

Ryan "the Rhino" Hart was impressive today, consistently 395 to 408ish all day, pretty much highest ball speeds, notwithstanding Matt "the Freak" Gunning whom already has a thread dedicated to him.  Great improvement again this year Ryan, I've always known you had more in you and I can't wait to see you compete this year, I expect good things.

Shawn "Easy Money" Robinson just doing his thing, not practicing, not working out?? (no offense meant) just picking up a club, sticking a peg in the ground and making some $$$$.  Too easy!!!

Jesse put up some good balls, not to be overlooked, he is improving and hasn't reached his full potential yet.

Tim "Mr. Donation" Hansen surprised himself a few times with some bombs and I think he has more in him if he could just get a few new parts, shoulders, knees, and while your at it maybe take a few years off the ole kisser, just for $%&* and giggles.  Haha, good hitting today Tim it was good to see you again.

Terry "So Smooth" Riou" was, well, smooth.  He just fills up the grid with beautifully hit draws that are so consistant you could get bored watching it because you would swear its a replay of his last shot.  Good hitting again Terry, you've got more gears left there you just need to figure out how to shift into them.

Fun event, thanks to our scorekeeper other Matt and also Chris Miller for a good showing for his first time out.

Till next we meet,

Hutch

I gotta admit, it was fun hitting with you guys, especially seeing Matt Gunning smoke a few rockets. Makes me wish I went to the last one.

All in all a great day, was nice to see old faces again and yes I did surprise myself. Good luck to all in the upcoming season, hope to see you all again.

Great event put on by Ryan and Jesse, thanks again!
