Hope to see all the Columbus Expo this Sunday for the swing fest.
And then,... be there for this indoor sim event the next Sunday. Good practice, good fun, and something better than sittin' around waiting for the cold to dissappear. If no one shows, at least my $100 will be safe. Maybe I will throw in the crappy club that I will be taking home from the Expo LD comp for an additional prize. hehee.

Cool, I'm there. More people ought to be more fun. Funner than the Columbus Golf Show. No top prize, cheezy slow nerf range balls, and I won a lousy dozen prov1's for 5 bucks because I hit it further that hour. woo-woo....Fuel=$30, parking=$5, warmup range=$5, 5 balls=$5. What does a dozen prov1's cost? Not going to the Cleveland show it will suck as much. Andy got bigger and faster,...and he still is 16yrs old. Dude is gonna do some damage this year. See everyone Sunday! |

Thinking 40-30-20-10 payout with at least 15 showing 12 pm 2 sims reserved- actually had a few people show up today to just watch so be ready for spectators next week!

SUNDAY FORMAT:
100.00 buy in
Hitting Pinnacles
Balls above 7* la count- all under are OB
Ones that are not picked up get rehit.
1st round 2 sets of 8 -1/2 field advances
2nd round 2 sets of 6- 1/2 field advances
finals- 6 ball shootout for positions
payout's-
40% -30%-20%-10% for field of 15 and above
14 and below-50%-30%-20%
Would like to get a better estimate on how many are coming in case I have to get another simulator so we aren't cramped on 2 of them
this is going to be a 'test run' event so all input is welcome-
I am also doing 2/maybe 3 Super q's this year and want ideas/input on events I'd like to have-
I'm thinking day before qualifier so people can do a weekend bit if they'd like

Only 5 of us showed up. Myself, Neil, frank, Jason, and Josh. It was fun to hit some balls with everyone there, even though I still can't figure out how to fit my swing in the sims. Thank you again for trying to put on an event Neil. |

Thanxs to you and Josh for traveling the farthest only to find out...
from the response-emails and calls I got there were quite a few that were going to show up-guess theres a fine line between fiction and non fiction-
I can kinda see the frustration from people putting on events - I was working on securing cash sponsors for at least 3 outdoor events this year but am definitely rethinking it now - the range and set up we have is 1st class and have done alot of 'convincing' to the course so they allow us there and spend money and time to main 'our' grid and range -it was a tough sell at 1st but they do it for us
it only puts yet another blackeye on these things -can only get sponsors or supporters if people show up and not just 'talk' about it -

Neil,
You now see our problem. LOL we need to start taking credit cards and charging the no shows. There are very few people I trust who say they are coming to an event (Magan, Merrill, Critter, Consavage, etc..) that I would not charge this. Lance and I had over 30 well known respected hitters committed to the Christmas Clash and at the last minute at least 10 of them backed out. They will not be invited to our future events unless they provide some sort of non-returnable deposit.
