no no.. frank... meant the simulator i use is a crappy one and i wanna use one thats close to real life.. i was basically asking how close it is to real life..lol..
Real, hhhhmmmm,....Well, you use real clubs, and a real ball.  And if you hit it REAL hard,....it goes 15 ft. hhahahahaha  Oh yeah, it can also give you some numbers and figures and such and we argue about how accurate it is....hahaha!

I'm just having fun Jim.  As far as Sims are concerned these are pretty cool and seem to give reliable data and views of what is going on.  I think reliability is the key to data.  It is simulated of course and there is nothin like the real thing.

These are the best I have hit on-adjustment to codes entered do have to be adjusted for LD-
Ben has used these for a long time and trains and fits people on them.
Definetly one of the most accurate

Just sending out a post for anyone that wants to hit, practice, train, and in general keep the rust off their LD swing in the greater Cleveland area (North Ridgeville).

This is Neil Simpson's backyard and it has 4 About Golf Simulators that don't get a lot of use.  They are not the real thing but at least it is something for the off season to do.

I'll be there this sunday the 2nd, so the more the merrier.  11am-4pm or what ever time you show.  enough guys and we can throw some $ in for more comp fun.  Rent on a Sim is $28.00 an hour, BYB and food.  There is also a DQ and a Burger King walking distance from it.

Just post in this thread so we can get a head count as to those that are interested so we can reserve more than one Sim.

Neil could you post an address or website for the place so people could see where it is located?

here's addy:
 5475 Mills Creek Lane
 North Ridgeville, Ohio
 44039

here's site:
http://www.nrrctennis.com/index.html

couldn't make it Sunday Frank-holidays and grand parenting duty took priority!
Hopefully this sunday tho

We will set this up every Sunday- have 1-2 more saying they would like to come up also

Think 3rd week of January (Sunday) will be the inaugural 'indoor' event -
say 100.00 buy in-payout going to 1-2-3 spots? after taking out for sim time?
it will be dependant on how many show-
I'll make sure to get at least 2 sims reserved for it -if more response-I'll get 3-
IF it is outrageous amount wanting to show....I'll shut the place down and we will go private!

Gonna sort thru what I have and set up some demo's also-of course Alpha-but probly some Geek also
(sorry-mostly HOF shafts) -probly all HOF shafts

These are not perfect but as Frank said -alot can be learned if they are used right

interest as always -is appreciated  so we know how many sims to set aside

sounds like a plan Neil.  I will do my best to be there and I'll see if I can't get a buddy of mine who's thinking about getting into LD to come along.

I talked to Jacob Von Deylen and we are planning on making the trip.  I'm assuming just bring $100 cash.  I may also be bringing a buddy of mine who is thinking about getting into LD.  He will probably come along but may not get in the tournament.  I told him he could come along and hit some balls and maybe try out some LD clubs, and get a feel for what he needs to do to be competitive in LD.

So count on 2 of us being there for sure and maybe a 3rd.

Is there anyone that would be interested in an indoor event in Elk City Oklahoma? Its about 2 hours west of OKC on I40. Im not sure what kind of sims they are but they are 10' screens and they have a "boost" feature. The owner would be all for it.   Im fairly certain there arent many LDers out this way but the sims are available so I thought Id ask.
