Anyone want to compete in an Indoor LD competition in Red Deer.  There is a new and great simulator shop called Paradise Golf in Red Deer.  They seem like pretty cool guys, and would likely be fine with having us do a 2-3 hour comp at there shop.  We could all put in say $100 a head per event, and pay out the top 3 or 4 spots.  We would just have to pay for simulator time out of the pot.

Anyone interested in having one or two indoor comps this year?  probably on an a saturday evening.  It would be great if we could get 10 guys.

We could aways do a small "friendly" comp for no money, with 4 or 5 guys.  But a little cash usually makes it more exicting.

I was joking, of course Blenkhorn can have my money.  He already has a lot of it  Grin

I was talking to Kevin the other day, and he was the one that mentioned this idea about the indoor thing.  Apparently, if others are also hitting on this simulator around the world, through the internet, we can also compete against others as well (Euro's, USA, etc.).  Might be kinda neat to set something like that up as well.

But, we could also just have a few brews and have a good time as well.  the great part about it is that Red Deer is halfway b/w Calgary and Edmonton.  There were some new Calgary long drivers that showed up late in the season last year that might be interested as well.

A tentative format could be:

10 guys enter
$100 per guy

Each guys hits 6 balls twice, then the top 4 drives go right into the final 4 for the cash, 8 balls one round.  Top seed gets the hammer.

$1000 pot
$200 for the simulators, we would have one to compete on, and another one for everyone to warm up on.  I think the event would take around 2 hours start to finish.

Pay out:
1st $400
2nd $200
3rd  $120
4th  $80

Again all this is just an idea.  Could have 2 or 3 events in one day.  Possibly have an event in November/December  and another in February/March.

I'm up for it, or down for it depending on your choice of lingo.  I just hit a few balls down there today and man is it hard to get to 200 mph ball speed my back is still sore from only 50 swings.  The radar seems somewhat accurate but the ball doesn't roll worth a crap, I think about 10 yards of roll at best.  The more comps the merrier I am so lets DO THIS!!

Hey Ryan,

I'd likely be in as well.   I figure I'd be up for tossing in $100.00 or so. Having not hit a ball for a couple months makes me think giving up $200 or more may be too steep for this guy.  I also like the format we used at the event in Sylvan this year, the more balls the better.

Thanks!

Greg
