Hey guys

Im not a golfer, more like one hell of a beer drinking golf cart driver. Anywas I went to a golf town with a friend and the guy said I should try long drive. So long story short I bought a few clubs off a couple of real nice guys on here and one of those swing speed radar things(im not sure how accurate they are but I can get into the low 140's). I decided to signed up for Nevada and was wondering if I could meet up with a couple of you cool dudes that could help me out a little(I live between Red Deer and Calgary). I have about 2 months to learn something and get good. Any help would be great.

Your more than welcome to come out and hit with me, I'm in for the Canada Day event in Mesquite as well.  I hit at the River Bend course in Red Deer, its one of the best ranges in western Canada IMHO.  I usually bring my zelcity launch monitor aswell, its really accurate on ball speed.  I will be training probably 3 times a week, usually 2-3 hours at the range.  PM me your number and I can text you during the day, I go mostly around 6 pm.  Tim Hansen and Jesse Hindi hit there as well.

   I have to go back to work for at least 10 days maybe longer 2 hours east of hardisty. I talked with Jamie today and he is back in town on the 19th until worlds and wants to get a few practise sessions in. I know Glenn hutch wants to get together and hit as well.  I will talk with Jamie if the weather holds out maybe we could head down that way or we could all meet at red tail landing for some hitting. The range there is long enough and the balls are very good. If we get enough guys we could have a spotter with radios calling back balls. We should all keep in touch, it is always better when you can practise with a group.  And if you really want to see how you stack up there won't be a better way to find out than to hit against Sadlowski.

Its hard to decide what I would like more, hitting with sadlowski and blenkhorn and alberta ld'ers or having people actually spell my name correctly.  It seems that no matter how many times I write my name as glen everyone always adds in the extra n.  I guess I can live with the extra n, it doesn't really bother me I just find it amusing sort of like my dad who's name is Jock but everyone always calls him Jack.  Getting a little sidetracked here, I'm in for hitting with alberta ld'ers and you can call me whatever the hell you want, throw three n's in there for all I care, just don't forget to call me when you guys get together to hit.

Wouldn't you know it, the only weekend I am booked.  I play in an annual slo-pitch tourney with my cousins and our dads we suck but we have alot of fun and I can't miss that.  I am thinking of taking a trip down to Red Deer sometime next week so I need to get a hold of Ryan and Tim to see if I can hit with them and I could be in Calgary late in the week around thursday would like to try to hit but that trip may not happen.  Anyone can email me at heck_on_wheels@hotmail.com.

Ya Jesse I still have no idea how to pronounce your last name you must have it worse than me.  But the funniest ever was blenkhorn saying winston A-hoys name wrong the whole time at the western canadians I still chuckle when I think of that.

Anyone heading down to texas?  I went to mesquite to try to qualify in the 110+ degree heat but my clubs got lost and the loaner I hit just wasn't meshing with me.  I did hit a 398 ball and the winner of the event Jeff Farley hit 405 at the same time as me but I ended up bowing out just before the shootout rounds. 

When I was down in mesquite I found that balls hit a little lower where really running out on the grid, (I found this out after I finished hitting of course). the grid was wet as they soaked it for the heat and the Dual but I found that a little lower of a ball flight was the best as the high balls were not going as far even though we were slightly downwind at times.

Hey just an afterthought to an overly long post.  Could we get a team of guys for the Competition in Europe.  I know it is a continent thing but maybe we could get a team of guys to compete for that.  Let me see we have......Zuback.......Sadlowski.......Gavin.......Blenkhorn......Petterson.....and a good list of other guys I don't want to keep going and possibly offend some of the other big hitters we have but I feel safe with those 5 names.

we could all play for free at Meadowlands which i know they would appreciate...and probably get some free range time as well....
