--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First off let me say thank you to the grid crew of stars for the job, they put in.with the104 degree heat conditions. Tom Kraijl "Crusher" as we all know him, Dan "DEEP" Depner The force is with you , Jason "the fastest swing alive" Frey, and Damian "just kill it" Payne. Thanks for a job well done and not a dispute all day. You guys rock !!. Over 90 hits in the heat, some over 400 yards, few under 340. It was a super qualifier that included Cal/Nv and Washington/Oregon. Vinny Howell came out swing in the morning qualifier and won the open class with a 375 yd bomb (cal) Damian Payne won the (Wash) morning round with a 352. Both advance to the two districts with first round bye's. Tom"SLY" Celone honored us all the way from NV. and claimed a first place in both districts in the senior division. Tom thanks for bringing Karen with you. Melvin Guary took first place in cal with a 374 and in the afternoon qualifier and Lonnie White took first place in the Wash. district with a 361.  It was a strong senior field. Also Tony Bailey"SS" took first in the Wash. district and so did a newcomer to the superseniors Larry Kelly. The afternoon ended up with the two playoff's with newcomer Andy Parola a lefty beating Ryan Winther with a 371 to a 351 for first place in the Wash. district finals. and then Ryan Winther barely beating newcomer and 18 year old Lance Shakespeare by only 3 yards 347 to 344. Also advancing to the Cal districts where Greg Gabbani and Tom Wolfman two new guys to the sport and real classy competitors. The LDA will post the official results in the next day or so. Lance Shakespeare is the young man that I posted about last week, Russ, he's no secert now. He was one of the 400 yard drives, Keep an eye on this one at the finals. Thanks to the Golf Center in Pleasanton for providing the great grid. Thanks to all who came out, the next one is on July 26th, Pleasanton Golf Center, it well be another SUPER QUALIFIER for two districts. As always "GORILLA

Updated results are nice, but would be easier to read if it wasn't just one giant paragraph... ;-)
