Wings are too old, its gotta catch up to them sooner or later lol. And I have a personal hatred for Hossa after what he sold out on the Pens.

So I gotta say Penguins vs Red Wings (again) but the Pens win it this time.

I went to the Pens game like 6 weeks ago and they were not even in playoff contention. they finished hot but it will die. I had some high hopes for the Caps, but after their opening game against NY, i am a little worried. Going to the game tomorrow, so hoping for a better showing.

Did you watch the Wings game last night???  So much for Mason being the hottest goalie in the league......the Red Wings were doninant.

I predict a repeat finals from last year with the same result.

I would be inclined to go with the Penguins too, except that when they get down,& Crosby gets knocked around alot they can't seem to get it back together.
I wish i could attend a game, Henry, you got it good.

I have second round BLACKHAWKS tickets, so they'd better make it that far.  Hawks and Bruins for the Cup.

BLACKHAWKS!!!!!!!!

I was waiting to see if someone was going to mention them. Youth, determination, getting everything put together at the right time.

I'm not a big hockey fan, but it would be great for the hawks to get back into the Stanley Cup finals!

did anyone else watch the redwings vs ducks last night, i'm a little bitter about the call made with a minute left to not allow a review of the red wings goal, the puck clearly went in before the whistle went. and apparently it was non-rivewable. Total BS, espcially since its the playoffs.

Yeah, i seen it with even my crappy vision.
It's a good thing that ld isn't so subjective.
Can you imagine the riot that would occur at the worlds if a referee said "No Jamie,Mike,Sean,Jason, etc. sorry but that one was o.b."
There aren't enough cops in Mesquite that could control the mob.
Oh well, it's not like it doesn't happen in most all refereed sports.
The Wings will get through it.

I second that, although if the Hawks made it to the finals, against the pens, that would be nice too.... If that would ever happen I mean.

Sometimes the matchups are better before the finals....

babrad06 --

I have to say I agree with you -- Pens are peaking and should make the finals again (not to take anything away from the Hurricanes).  I DO hope they meet the Wings there, and yes -- after what Hossa did to the Pens last year (even up to the minute he signed with the Wings; during the negotiations he apparently asked the Pens at the last minute if they would extend the offer they had for him on the table by one more year, which they did -- and thus thought they had landed him, and yet then he STILL bolted to the Wings) -- I want to see them beat the Wings to win the Cup!

By the way, are you from the western PA area?  I grew up in Beaver County just outside of Aliquippa...

Go Pens!

babrad --

That's cool.  My best friend lives down your way -- in Canonsburg, and by the way is also a huge Pens fan.  Another win tonight, up 2-0 and headed to Carolina Saturday.  2 wins away from the Cup final...
