Western Canadian Long Drive Championship
Meadowlands Golf Club, Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada
One day - Three events - Cash payouts
$200 per event - Enter as many as you like
16 hitters per event-3 sets of 6-Top 8 advance
Payout top 4 in each event
$10 per entry goes to host site - Remainder of entry fees paid out in full
Each paid entry receives 2 buckets of balls for the range
Registration deadline is July 1st

Unfortunately I will have to withdraw, I don't think my knee will take all that LD in the week. I am doing some charity events earlier in the week.

I will put out there though that if there is a round of golf i may be interested.

Let us know where and when to send the money (cheque or paypal.......if paypal, make sure to take into account the % they take off).  Make a deadline for everyone as well, otherwise you will get people verbally comitting (and taking other peoples spots) and backing out last second.  I'll send the $600 ASAP.  Also, 16 people max per event still?

Wow ----I hadent even considerd the STAMPEDE as well for that time of year!   If any of you are wondering it truly is the BEST BIGGEST RODEO going and everyone is a cowboy during that time in Calgary!     Its a great time and chance to double dip!!   Long Drive Event for $$ & the STAMPEDE!!!    Good thought Shawn!

Keep me posted if you all are going golfing, I can bring some guys out that are considering LD. Would be a good education for them.

I will most likely be there to watch, maybe volunteer as well, but it depends on a lot of factors.

with less than a month away, things are shaping up for a great day of long drive

3 events in one day with the possibilty of winning $2000 in each event with only 16 people in each event???  Why wouldn't you?

  I will be coming to the event on the 11th and am bringing  down all my excess equiptment to give away as prizes. There is nothing wrong with it I just don't use most of it anymore so someone may as well.  I didn't pay for most of it so I won't be looking to make any money off it.  I have a few BOM's shafted up.  1 or 2 storms ( can't remember) shafted up.  Some odds and ends and a bunch of shafts.  If you come to this event and pay the cash there is a pretty good chance you will go home with something.  If not cash then some gear.  I will be giving the clubs and shafts away first to the guys that don't cash in so hopefully everyone will get a little something.  I probably have somewhere in the range of 15-20 shafts and clubs.  All the shafts would cost at least $150 to buy retail.  Hopefully someone will find some use out of the gear. Between myself and the other LD'ers there should be lots of clubs to try out. ( as long as you stand on the proper side of the ball that is).
