Shanks Shootout Information: Saturday April 25th 2009 Shanks Golf Range 1016 West Butler RD Greenville SC 29607 $300.00 Entry Fee, Super qualifier format(just to make it interesting) 3 sets of 6 balls in the first round(half of field advances) 2 sets of 6 balls in second round(half of that field advances) 1 set of 6 balls in finals(top 6 or more will be paid) Registration starts immediately. With this format there will be an unlimited field, but you have to register and pay by April 20th. I will accept cash, personal check, paypal( idrive400yards@yahoo.com, add $10.00 for paypal fee) Checks will not be deposited until April 21st. I will be working on added sponsorship prize money, but without commitment from you, I can't do anything. There will be TV/Newspaper coverage, just like last year. Free range balls. Brad,
You get THREE Sets of 6 balls in the first round(top half of field distance wise moves on, whether the ball was hit in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round) 18 balls hit total, but not in the same set.
TWO sets of 6 balls in the second round(same applies)
ONE set of 6 balls in the finals(longest ball wins)
If you guys would rather have a double elimination format instead of Super Q, we can do that.

I think I get it, so basically best ball of 18, best of 12, best of 6. But you only hit 6 at a time. Seems interesting and would give the truly longest player the best chance of winning. I kinda like the sounds of the format, but I will be participating either way.

Sweet! A guy in Boiling Springs thinks he's going to host some as well...Don't think he knows all the new rules and cut backs. Also, since I'm in college and won't know how much money I'll have at the time, I don't know 100% that I'll get to participate at $300. Is there some way I can volunteer to help or something? I'll be there either participating, watching, or something so I may as well help!
