Just wondering how many guys would be interested in a cash event next summer in Alberta. Talked with Brett and Shawn about it and talked with Sadlowski about it last night. We did an event about 6 years ago I think in edmonton where we charged $200 for entry fee and when you went up to hit during the event you could also pay the extra $40 and use the distance as a local qualifying drive. We had a local qualifier on Friday , the money event /local quialifier on saturday.  The finals of the cash event on saturday night under the lights and then had the district championships on sunday.  If I get enough interest we are going to look at having this next summer.  I was down and helped out Brett at the districts here on saturday and the grid they hit on is probably the fairest, straighest and flatest grid I have ever been on. It has the potential to be 70-80 yards wide and is 430 yards long. There was not one bad or crazy bounce the whole day and they would really like to see us there more next year.
I was wondering what kind of entry fee you guys would  like to see?  $200, $300, $400.  Who would come up from the states? The grid is right between Calgary and Edmonton.  Very easy to find.
If anyone from Alberta has any potential company's that would be interested in sponsoring the event let me know.  If we do this we will have to start preping for it this fall.   I may also talk with the new casino here about tying them in somehow, there is a golf course owned by the same indians but I don't think they have a facility big enough for us.  Anyways let me know over the next few weeks, also any ideas from anyone what else you would like see at the event just let me know ( within reason ).

I'd do it - though I'm sure my $200 would be more of a donation!

And, I agree with the above post.  I love this sport - the only thing I wish for is the chance to compete more often.  So, here's an opportunity...lets make it happen!

I'm always up for donating to good causes so count me in.  I can live with the $200 dollar range but may not donate if it gets alot higher.

I wouldn't go more than $250, anything more and the people that were borderline going to enter would be out for sure.

You'd still have to spot me 10 yards though :-)

I would be in as well.  Gotta support LD in Canada.  I am sure we can get a bunch of us from central and the east to fly out there.  It would be a great event to lead up to the Canadians as well.
