I know the finals are in October, but I thought maybe a contest for those who didn't make it would be fun. I've got a place to do it. I just need to get the guy to get a little grass on the back tee. The range runs out to a little over 400 yards but has some uphill elevation change at the end so 420+ bombs will have to be all carry (or not likely)
The name of the place is Crown Golf Range. It is easily reached from the interstate and there is lodging nearby for those who would want to stay overnight.
I have no other details other than I would like to do a seeding round and then double elimination. Seeding round might be cut out for various reasons.
Even if no one here has any interest, I would love to get some feedback from other hitters and those who have hosted events before.
And doing it during race week is more than likely out. Everything fills up around here and peoples' minds turn to mush.

The date is up in the air at this point. I'd like to have it mid-to-late October so it will hopefully be a little cooler than it is now. Maybe the weekend of the 25th-27th.

I'm going to be heading out towarsd the range today so I'll stop in and talk to the owner. He's already said he would have an event. Just getting the date ironed out is going to be the hard part (read: not a problem). I'll see what his schedule looks like and then post up some available dates.
