hi guys,  it seems to me that 5 yards a year seems to be about the typical improvement you can expect in driving distance, does that seem about right to you?   also is there anybody who,s doing much better than that?   if so, who and how?!!!

well i am 33 and i have been know to hit it over 165! lol.

common sense would tell you that it depends on your starting point, if you swing at 110mph there is a lot more scope to improve than if you were lucky enough to swing at 150mph.

Alright guys,

I managed to gain bout 20 mph clubhead speed and 50 yards in my 1st 6 months of Long Driving back in 05.  I mean the reasons how, was basically getting your hands on the right equipment and developing my technique just purely on adding raw distance without worrying bout accuracy.

6 balls is more than enough to gun 1 straight!!!!

Good luck.

My 1st event in Scotland, June 05, I was using a standard Titleist 905 and had a clubhead speed of around 120-125. Cry Cry

Then after a coulpe of months of testing and trying stuff i had a 147 mph clubhead speed reading in the world finals, with my fastest ever ball speed of 215mph. Shocked Shocked

So its possible mate!!!!

Keep working on ur technique and im sure your get faster.
