Trying to get to terms with what is happening in Europe is extremely frustrating, and the Sweden event is no exception.

For many weeks LDE have listed the event as having no Senior Division (what's new, no Super Senior division now the Senior division has been scrapped at several of this year's tour events) yet today they publish a link to Brollsta Golf Course - the venue. That contains a link to the LD event in Swedish. God help us an international event not published in the world's international language! It appears (using an internet international dictionary) that there is indeed a senior division.

Should be easy enough to confirm one would think. Yet, trying to contact the event organiser on the e/m address published by LDE fails, as does his advertised e/m address on Brollsta's web site.

Anyone know what is happening? It is all too slapdash and uncertain to get on a 'plane even if tickets are available at this late juncture.

Will anyone in Europe ever take LD seriously? Do I have to stage yet another public protest? Where are the tv cameras?

Thanks Diablo. I'm unsure as to who you are but clearly you are a gentleman Wink

I could have booked cheap flights weeks ago if LDE had put out accurate information, or at least a link to the advertisement poster Sad

Wish I lived in America Cool

You are most welcome.

I am the guy who showed interest in your custom built longdrive suitcase last year in Brollsta  Grin

Hi Ivan,

it was good to see you at st Omer, France.
I see you're quite active on this forum which I just joined. Pity you won't be going to the event in Sweden this time; myself I won't go either due to time constraints. Will try to make it to some other senior event later on, though, and will hopefully meet you then.

Best,

Jesper

Hello Jesper,

Nice to hear from you!

If you come over to England and need a pillow for the night then please drop me a line. I'm close to Whittlebury Park, but a long way away from Farnham.

I won't be writing so much in future as I'm only allowed out of the straightjacket for a couple of hours a day and I need to work on my new swing, so that it doesn't collapse again under pressure. Also, this new El Diablo head takes some getting used to. Boy, it certainly reduces backspin!  So, I may have to order a special 16 degree El Diablo head in order to get airborne.  Grin  I suspect that I can't increase the loft of what I have by grinding off the face by a few degrees and then re-painting black as I guess that the face is less than one cm thick?

I think that the Americans do so well with the El D  because most of them are so very tall. I have ordered some shoe heel risers off eBay so I hope to soon be two cm taller  and consequently armed with much more leverage.

Watch out for the little guy with heel risers and a 16 degree driver. (If I don't fall over).
