Oh YES !!!!! And by far... Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

What does this statement come from??? Today St Omer qualifyer...

A bad day can happened but forgetting that the third place offers a spot for the Euro Finals in a really "easy" event...  Angry Angry

Let's sum up what happened...

Sunny day with an uphill grid (not wet but not too dry) and a headwind (a not steady 10mph in the morning and a bit more in the afternoon)

Qualifyers session:

Steph Gresel - 320 meters
Yvan Tchemenian - 289 meters
Ian Crnlak - 279 meters
Jean Philippe Kwasniak - 278 meters
Charles Riou - 268 meters
and Dan Konik

Then,
Group 1:
Dan Konik - 295 meters (advance to Semi)
Ian Crnlak - WO
Yvan Tchemenian - 280 meters

Group 2:
Steph Gresel - 302 meters (Advance to Semi)
Jean Philippe Kwasniak - 276 meters
Charles Riou - 272 meters

Last Chance:
Charles Riou - 268 meters
Jean Philippe Kwasniak - OB
Yvan Tchemenian - 282 meters

Semi 1:
Dan Konick - 301 meters
Yvan Tchemenian - 272 meters

Semi 2:
Steph Gresel - 303 meters
Charles Riou - 280 meters

Final
Dan Konick - 317 meters
Steph Grasel - 311 meters

I still cannot believe I thought I had a chance to beat Dan in such a F*****G day (never hit the sweet spot by far...) and forgot to think about placing a 290 meters shot that would assure a Euro Finals spot... A 281 meters indeed... Angry Angry Angry Angry

Conclusion:
I think Steph and Dan had the easiest qualifying session for Euro but they at least made the show with those lovely shots.
Charles put the right numbers to pass through and congratulations to him...

And I think I will smite myself every day during next month... Grin Grin

I think my IQ almost catch 11 today...

For the Senior:
Jesper and Henck (sorry for the names) needed a play-off ball as they were both 255 meters and Jesper got that one in...
Longest ball of the day was placed in qualification session by Ivan Sanders with 280 meters.

Suzanne (sorry the name once again) won her qualification to Euro Final with I think something like 251 meters.

Was nice to see some of you and I hope to see the others soon during this season.

Take care.

PS: Distances may vary a bit from recorded one but that is about what I reminded... And I really don't want to remind that stupid day anymore... Grin Grin Grin

Thanks for the post Yvan. Gutted you didn't qualify though mate - time to implement plan B???

Congratulations to Dan Konyk for hitting the winning ball. Looks like a God-damn awful and very small (n = 6) field though...

Yvan,

Lovely to meet you in the glorious sunshine. My day was far worse than yours (four topped balls plus two OBs - the price of a totally new swing which my subconscious fails to recognise under pressure) and I recalled Jessica's words from last year "Our sport can tear your heart out." Ah well.

Today, we both again have sunshine, wonderful families, and hope for the future. We must repeat it. (The chant not the performance).

We will be back, stronger, better experienced, and hopefully wiser.

Until the next time my friend,

the Viper
