Found a clip of attempts to hit it long on a London airport runway. Its all in fun but I dont think this should be consider a real record unless its was carry only. What do you think?,
Oh yeh He used a 2.5* SMT O2

Danny,
While he did use an SMT O2, it was 4 degrees - hand picked to 3.8 degrees.
As many are aware, I think the phrase "World Record" is thrown around too much, especially in the world of long drive, and mostly by manufacturers.
While it was a fun event, and got a lot of good press, it is what it is........ I just saw on the News this morning Tiger Woods hitting the new Nike SQ2 on a runway to 500 yards.
Does this validate Pauls efforts or achievement, because Tiger has now done it?
Paul is a great guy and lots of fun to be around. I am sure tha a lot of folks had a good time watching that day, it brought a lot of press for the London Golf Show and many left with a cool story to tell.
Same as Mesquite, it seems to me.
Isn't that what it is all about? Having fun and telling a few stories?

I said 2.5 cause I thought that is what they said in the clip. See for yourself. Maybe I heard wrong.

hitting balls on concrete? since when did hitting balls on concrete make you a world record long driver? 800 yds? not very realistic if you ask me, but then again no one asked me
