Am I reading this correctly?
« on: April 12, 2018, 05:03:51 PM »
From her website:

Lee Brandon Sets New World Record For Masters at 330 yards

Being an athlete at any age is exciting.  Setting a World Record at any age is a blessing and an honor.  I hit 330 yards to set a new Masters World Long Drive Record in a sanctioned Long Drive Event!

In Denver on the 2nd World Long Drive Tour event featured on the Golf Channel, I was the only woman over 50 competing against all ages in the open division.  I was 8 years older than the closest competitor in age and 38 years older than the youngest competitor.  All I can say is “Thank God the Golf ball see’s us as ageless and timeless.” August 2017,,,, never heard about it....

Golf is a part of who I am. More specifically, the sport of Long Drive. I did not begin to play the sport until the age of 39, but I was blessed to have it come into my life. I am even more honored to be a two time World Long Drive Champion. I continue to play to this day, and I strive daily to be a shining example: no matter your limitations you can achieve your dreams.

I didn't spend more than 2 minutes on this after reading your posts.  Found this on Wolrd Long Drive website: http://www.worldlongdrive.com/players/lee-brandon/

If you look at the bottom it says: "Attended Hofstra University. Picked up golf in late 30s on a dare. Won 2001 Women's Volvik World Long Drive Championship."

Maybe I just don't follow closely enough but there was no 2001 Women's Volvik World Long Drive CHampionship?  :-\
