Hi Everyone,

Hope the end of winter finds you well.

We are hosting our first fundraiser of the season at Far Away Greens in Burlington on April 2nd.  Please see attached flyer for details.

This is a great opportunity to shake off the rust!  Far Away Greens is brand new, fully licensed, indoor golf facility in Burlington that utilizes the same High Definition Simulators touted by Jamie Sadlowski. Click here to see more. We will also be using the Mesquite grid as a backdrop for our competitions.

Final format, payouts and facility fee (not to exceed $20 per hitter) will be determined the day of the event depending on the final size of the fields.  We plan to have three simulators on the go for 3 hours each giving plenty of opportunity for you to hit in competition, practice and network.  You'll note a standard poker entry fee on the promotional flyer of $75; any long drivers wishing to stay for appetizers and poker will only require a $50 entry fee.  The fundraising poker event will feature professional tables, dealers and tournament coordination.  All levels of players are welcome!

If you know you can join us please preregister for both events by sending your name, LD division and entry fees to  We will also accept last minute entries the day of the event in cash only.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.  We look forward to seeing you April 2nd!

On behalf of Fareen and myself I want to thank everyone who came out to support The Board of United International Long Drivers (BUILD) first fundraiser of 2016.  We also want to acknowledge the efforts and generosity of a number of volunteers and organizations who without their support we would not have been able to have had such a successful event; Far Away Greens Indoor Golf Centre, HD Golf Simulators, Triple Bogey Brewing, Scotia McLeod, Burlington Orthotics and TV Cogeco.  Also a big thank you to Burlington, Ontario's Federal and Provincial elected officials who came out to support the event and participate in the award presentations.  Despite Mother Nature blessing us with 10cm of snow in April, both the indoor long drive event and fundraising night were tremendous successes.  We introduced the sport of long drive to a number of new participants and a much bigger group of spectators than we ever expected.

Congratulations to Gabriel Caron Landry and Cory Pond on their victories!

Open Final:
1. Gabriel Caron Landry - 397 yards - Bang, 3x UST Pat Dempsey LD4 Shaft
2. Jason Davies - 393 yards - Krank, 2x Anmkara Attitude LD Shaft

Ladies Final:
1. Cory Pond -  261 yards - TBD
2. Nadia Marques - 249 yards - TBD

Full results can be found on the BUILD site

Once again thanks to everyone that made this event a success.  We look forward to building on the relationships we established this weekend and continuing to raise funds to support the promotion of long drive.

Jason and Fareen

Thanks for the kind words Gabe.  Glad you got all the way back to Montreal safely.  The roads back to London were a sheet of ice.

Hopefully we will see everyone at the COLD Shootout in a few months.
