International Long Drive Challenge AND Golf Digest CANADA Announce:

Canadian Long Drive Challenge Series

Partnership to Provide 14 Events Plus a Major Cash Event

April 2, 2012 Toronto ON, Canada - International Long Drive Challenge (ILDC) and Norlinks Digital Media (parent of Golf Digest Canada), are announcing today a unique series of fun, entertaining, and challenging events to promote golf and the thrill of hitting the long ball.

The series will be run by the ILDC and according to the governing rules and regulations of the sport.

The events will be a series of impressive competitions held at 14 locations across Canada. The events will allow the 'long drivers' amongst us to see what they can do against the sports best, by qualifying for the Canadian National Championships, which is a two day competition held during the month of September.

"The top two open hitters from each of the 14 qualifying events will advance to the Canadian National Championships and the selection process for Team
Canada. In addition, the top senior and the top female from each of the 14 qualifying events will advance to the Canadian National Championships and the selection process for Team Canada", state Rick Benoit and Bill Stark,Directors of the ILDC.

Team Canada will be selected at the Canadian National Championships and the top 3 open hitters, the top senior, and the top female will have their flight and accommodations paid for to attend the ILDC's World Team Finals in Mazatlan, Mexico.

"Golf Digest Canada will be sponsoring and promoting a major cash event to be held during the Men's Canadian Open, a week long event held in the Toronto area, this upcoming July. We will have a cash event for the world's best long drive competitors and an added Celebrity Challenge is currently under negotiations and will be confirmed in the next few weeks", says Stu MacDonald, Chairman of Golf Digest Canada. "This makes a total of 16 events that are fun and exciting to promote golf and competition this summer in Canada. These athletes, who are phenomenal to watch and great endorses of the game of golf, will generate great exposure to our marketing partners".

"ILDC is very pleased to announce this new partnership with Golf Digest Canada. We know that this Canadian Long Drive Tour will be an impressive one, drawing long ball hitters from all across Canada to participate in its spectacular final", says Rick Benoit.

"The ILDC is an organization formed by hitters, for the hitters in order to showcase the talent of some of the longest hitters in the International Long
Drive scene," adds Bill Stark.

The ILDC is a host company of long drive events across Canada and Internationally to promote the sport of Long Drive and it's athletes. Hosting qualifying events throughout Canada, the National finals and the elite event in which teams from around the world compete in the International Long Drive Challenge for the "World Team Championship." Gorilla Golf Productions (an included company within the ILDC) captures the National and International finals on film to be shown as a sports television series on national and international sport's networks.

The first scheduled event will be June 8-10, 2012. The full event schedule, event rules, and player fact sheets can be found online at:
