You would think someone has something to say about the PGA show?

Show was really well attended today.  Saw Dempsey and Critter.  Natalie Gulbis had a line about 50 to 100 deep signing autographs on guys................well let's just say some of the autographs fit fine, and she needed to use shorthand with some guys.

I walked every inch of the floor and I can honestly say I didn't say WOW! once.  However, when you take a look at the whole thing in its entirety it is a WOW! worthy moment.  The Puma booth had a DJ.  I thought that was pretty funny.  I sat in on the HRZL glove media presentation and Ana Nordqvist did a great job representing the company.  Longdrivers in general were mentioned by HZRL, but nobody in specific.

"a senior longdriver used our glove to drive a ball 459"  not sure why they didn't mention Mobley's name.

Best booth was Callaway in my opinion, and I wish I had a spare $5,000 when I went by the Peter Millar booth.

I saw a guy swinging at least 120mph and hitting it pure at one of the golf simulator booths and getting like 260-270 yards out of it.  You could tell he knew the ball was actually going much further and he was calling the $39,000 simulator rubbish. LOL, but the machine was way off in his defense.

I was at he Swing Labs booth at the indoor range they have hitting a 9.5 regular flex Titleist D3.  I wasn't swinging really hard or anything but I was living in the 124-126mph range putting like 3300 rpm's on it.  Off the rack OEM equipment is so bad its funny.  The guy kept saying, "man if we could take some spin off that those balls would be outta here."

Thanks for the report, Doc!  Keep 'em coming.

I noticed you thought the DJ was pretty funny...you want to see funny...you have got to go to the Sporting Goods show one year...#1 it is 20 times bigger than the PGA Show.  Most of the Major booths are enclosed so you have to enter by one entrance and scan your badge to make sure your legit...once inside?  Some booths have FULL SIZE basketball courts!!!!  Another booth will have 10 vendors giving you free hot dogs, popcorn, hamburgers..whatever.  It is just amazing and you guys being athletes have got to see that show to appreciate it.  The most impressive show I have ever been to...scary HUGE!  One year in Atlanta...essentially the entire downtown area is taken over and the show was spread out into 8 or 10 huge buildings!!!  Absolutely amazing.  Every inch of these buildings in every nook and cranny was a booth!!  From small (10X10) to courtsize and bigger.  The Nike booth had a 30 foot tunnel just to get to the booth!  The booths are a ton..I think we paid 12K for a 10X10...

sounds crazy.  I thought the PGA show was big.  My only other experiences are the hardware convention in Las Vegas(about the same size as PGA but no single booth was nearly as impressive as the best ones at PGA.) and the Hurricane Protection convention in Orlando. (pathetic)
