Currently using 9016D 7.5 head with 48"fubuki X shaft. Looking for latest and greatest krank or adams
and frankly a little confused by all the hype. I want a low launch, low loft piercing drive and hate to not use my 9016D but it is way time to step up to something technically better if there is such a head.
Can anyone clear my confusion and just cut to the chase on what head is newest and best.

You will have to try it out for yourself. The heads aren't better than what you make them to be. Most top heads feel good. I hit the Ares head, I like it. Doesn't break either.

First thought is that shaft is not the best IMO. High spinning shaft. I would give a new shaft a chance with that head and then change the head if your not happy. In my opinion, you could spend $50.00 on a brand new 1x SK Fiber Lite Revolution 48" shaft, tip it an inch and you would see immediate changes in your launch profile.

Also, HOF, Aldila, UST all make great shafts too but for the price, you gotta give that Lite Rev a shot.

I just got a 7* Ares with an Aldila VooDoo.  Great Combo for me!  Launches nice and low too.  I have a ballooning problem.

There is not 1 magic excalibur. Best thing to do is try a bunch and see what works best for you and your swing. It's like pants, gotta try them on.

...the above recommendation only applies to people who actually wear pants...

Rage Black with a FireWire is a good combo, HOF shafts on anything are good as well. I haven't hit any of the Aldila shafts yet.
