Alright Developmental'ers....
It's official, the APG-Developmental Tour would like to present "The Sandhills Shootout"
Saturday March 24th, 2012 , (approx. 1:00pm start time)
Little River Golf Resort
500 Little River Farm Blvd.
Carthage, NC 28327
www.littleriver.com

$200 entry fee...
(includes a morning round of golf prior to LD event, a deli-plate lunch buffet, unlimited range balls and of course the LD event)

$175 entry fee... (if you're NOT planning on a round of golf in the morning, includes everything else)

We will take the first 16 guys that commit and then, at the most,  take 8 additional competitors in two groups of four at a time.
For example, once we have 16 commited then the next 3 guys will be on the waiting list until we get a 4th for a total of 20 competitors, then the next guys will have to wait until we reach 24 total.
Ideally, we would like to have 16 or 24, but can make an inbetween number work (maybe work in a bye for the longest balls of round 1 or something like that)
This just keeps the grouping moving faster and much easier to work the brackets.
Format will be double elimination until the final shootout.
16 competitors - payout will be 1st thru 4th
20 competitors - payout will be 1st thru 5th
24 competitors - payout will be 1st thru 6th
Not possitive on the purse because I am working on getting some additional sponsorship money, but we will be hitting for over your entry fee....

ADDITIONALLY
This course has Villa accommodations available on-site!!
Each villa has 2 bedrooms (2 queen beds in each bedroom) 2 bathrooms a kitchen and living area
$58 per person per night (4 people per villa)
$73 per person per night (3 people per villa)
$105 per person per night (2 people per villa)
$126 per night for a 1 person villa (1 bedroom)
These prices include a Full Hot Breakfast at the Little River Clubhouse dining room each morning and the taxes are already included.
***** I will need at least 3 weeks prior conformation to reserve the villas! so contact KURT asap if interested *****
To sign up or for more info contact:
Tyler Hagemann at 478-919-5400 or info@americanpowergolf.com
OR
Kurt Osterman at 910-315-2227 or kurtiso@nc.rr.com

ALSO!!!!!
This facility will be the site of "APG's Sandhills Slam!" Charity Pro/Am and Long Drive Event
To be held Friday September 28th and Saturday September 29th (more details to be released as the time comes)
AND the Winner of the Developmental Sandhills Shootout will win some sort of discount into the Sandhills Slam, whether it's a full exemption or a half price entry fee... (we're still working on it, but it will be something!)

Thanks! Looking forward to the Long Drive season...

Kurt

I'm sure Tyler will have a registration page put on the web-site sometime in the very near future...
www.americanpowergolf.com

But for the time being a verbal (or signed posted) committment will suffice.
Thanks!

and be sure to let me know it you would like a villa as well

On behalf of Tyler and Myself, I want to thank Kurt for all his hard work in getting this event together. This event will be the official 1st event for the 2012 APG Developmental Tour. We are in the process of booking several more venues and events this year. Our events will be held in the Southeast but we would love for someone to pick up the torch and create APG Developmental Tour events in other parts of the country.

Be sure to contact either Tyler or Myself if you are interested.

The first event last year was a huge success and we hope to build on that success for the upcoming 2012 season.

Look for more news about the APGDT coming soon!

If guys are wondering about the villas... what we'll do is...
once we get 4 guys who want one, we'll put you together in the same villa...
I've had to share rooms with guys in the past that I have never met before and it has always turned out great.
What it does is just help get new connections and helps grow the "brotherhood" of what has become Long Drive.

What about friends/family that are coming too? Are they able to play the morning round with us for $25 as well. I'll have at least two with me if not a third.

Extra's playing golf won't be a problem. I'll just need to know ahead of time
Friends and family or "non-competitors" might have to pay a little more, maybe $30. but I'll work on it...
We just need to make sure we don't take too long playing, where it doesn't give us enough time for the event....

If you are planning on getting or sharing a villa at the course, if you would please contact Bobbi Scarboro at the course and give her your c.c info to reserve the room. Her number is ... (910)-949-5017 or call the reservations department at 910-949-5006
She will have a list of the competitors names and will make sure you get the rate that was quoted us.
Thanks!!!

payments are starting to roll in... Thanks!!
There is a nice amount of buzz in the air around town for this event. Should create a bunch of interest for the September event.
Also, The First Tee will more than likely be bringing some of the kids out to watch as well....

Also, anyone coming to town early or sticking around late and would like to check out the Pinehurst Clubhouse, let me know and I'll get you pointed in the right direction... I could even get you out on the range (dubbed "Maniac Hill") there if you'd like....

Kurt,
Just found out today that I have some Mandatory Fire Department Training on Friday and Saturday and I will NOT be able to get out of it.  Go ahead and remove me from the list in case you have someone that can make it.  Wanted to give you as much notice as possible.  Hate it but the Battalion Chief's plans override mine unfortunately.  I hopefully can make the next one and I am going to miss seeing everyone again.

Good luck to all the competitors and hammer a few down the grid for me.

Thanks,
James

For ANYONE thinking of this, you need to see it. The grid is going to be amazing. I know this place personally and it is perfect for LD. The golf course is great as well.
