24 guys.  There will be 3 or maybe 4 qualifying holes.  Each guy will hit 6 drives on each of the qualifying holes marking the longest drive on each of the holes.  I will take the top 4 from #8.  Then I will take the top 4 from #16.  Then I will take the top 4 from #18.  The top 12 will shoot-out for the final 6.  I will pay 6 spots.  Total purse will be $14,000.00 minimum.

The gap in the years was when I would retire from the sport then start back....so after this year expect a press release of Bullard's retirement...Brett Favre will not have nothing on me when I decide to walk away for good....

Welcome aboard Brad McAnally!!! Glad to have a class act coming.  Also wanted to welcome aboard the original deadliest ASHTON LONGDRIVE TEAM members....ROCK HICKS and JEFF GAVIN....These boys were the deadly duo for many years and it looks as if Jeff Gavin is in his prime....Im glad to have good guys and great competitors coming...

The bad news of this kind of event is that all my aunts, uncles, cousins and my two boys will be working the grids.  Only my two boys and my blind uncle will be working the finals out in the grid....I still want all you guys to come...He might miss a couple of big balls but hey then again we all have seen mistakes made in the grids...

That night at card game I have 7 dealers that are out on parole...Guys we need Tim Burke to fill the last spot....or maybe the World Champ that does not want to take a backyard ass beatin.....Im calling out Mobley or Wolter...I would love to have a shoot-out in my backyard with my boys working the grid....I need to show my hometown people I can beat those people on ESPN....I have been telling them for 9 years that I dont attend that event thats why they have never seen me on there...but I keep having to go see my banker when I return...they are starting to catch on to that I just cant beat you guys....

I have already started getting checks.  I have over 9 guys already paid.  I dont believe after looking at the list that anyone is a concern about backing out.
