Open is/was filled like this:

48 open only guys (+Vincent as defending champ), six spots are reserved for the highest finishing seniors of the senior division and then eight spots are up for grabs for anyone in the qualification which will be held after the seniors are done. One spot is reserved for a special guest. Since we already have 50 guys registered for the open the field is "FULL" - if you wanna come and hit the only spots left are the eight spots from the qualifier.

Two tournaments that involve women as well.  Sounds great!! .... can't wait for more information - I would love to be a part of these events and promote women in long drive!!

$300 entry fee for the Open and the Seniors, probably $150 for the ladies (hopefully we get more hitters by lowering the entry fee for the ladies).

The website is in the makes and should be finally ready soon.

Söderby event is built on sportsmanship, passion and respect - not money. In 2010 we had a purse of $12.000 (32 man field), last year $15.000 (48 man field). This year we will have a purse of $23.000 (64 man field) and seniors + ladies divisions as well. I had a three year plan in the beginning how I want the event to develop and grow and it looks like we are on track.

Brenda Prudham and PLEASED Golf will add $1000 to the prize money for the Seniors and $500 for the Ladies divisions.

Alright we got a hotel deal (all the condos at the golf club are fully booked so no use calling them).

This is what we got:

I have reserved preliminary 20 double rooms and 5 single rooms between 29/6-1/7 (fri-sun)

Cost for a double room (inc breakfast) is 1025kr (about 115 euros/150 dollars) and 975kr (about 110 euros/140 dollars) for a single room.

NOTE: DO NOT CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY YET!!! I NEED TO GET THE BOOKING CODES FIRST OTHERWISE YOU WILL PAY A LOT HIGHER REGULAR PRICE.

What I need to know is who needs a room?

I know some of you guys will come earlier and possibly stay longer than just that weekend so please let me know of your plans so I can talk to the hotel people and try to make everything go smoothly.

I have informed them that some guys might stay longer and some for a shorter period of time so there should be no problems regarding reservations (even if you wanna stay longer/shorter for that special price).

Remember guys the hotel deal is valid only if you book your rooms by the end of this month. It's a hotel that would normally cost twice as much. Everyone decides themselves of course where they wanna stay but I will not be able help or get better rates after this month.
