Trying to work on putting some dates together....
My guess is guys would at least like to have a week off between events instead of traveling back to back weekends, correct?
So far the these are some of the early events that are actually posted...
The Launch - 3/1,2,3/12
Alligator Alley - 5/4/12
Tenn Shootout - 6/7/12
and the Mile High doesn't have a date yet....(but is usually in Sept)
April is usually "The Master's of Long Drive"
and theres work being done for another mid-May event
and I'm guessing the "Dixie Classic" will be in August again?

I'm working on (with APG) putting together a Dixie Classic style event (Pro/Am and LD event) in the Pinehurst area and just wanted to throw out the weekend of September 21st, 22nd and 23rd out there, (or the last weekend of Sept. the 29th 30th, depending on when the Mile High is going to be)
"The Sandhills September Slam! Pro/Am and Long Drive Event"......
First Tee of the Sandhills is completley on board with helping put this together and really thinks it will generate some great exsposure for you Long Drivers....

Also it's looking like March 24th will still be the date for an APG-Developemental event at the same venue I'm working with for the bigger event......

Still not sure what Shank's schudule might be for his shootout, but just wanted to get these dates out there so we can start trying to work together to make this upcoming Long Drive season a great one!!

So it looks like Soderby is going to be at the end of June....
So would there be any interest in an event between the Tenn Shootout on June 7th and Soderby June 29th???
Maybe the 16th and 17th instead of the 23rd and 24th....
Or....
After Soderby and before Metter?Huh?

Just trying to get an idea of who wants to do what and put something together that would be not only be a quality event, but something that would add to the LD season and become an annual event...

The site of the Alligator Alley Shootout will be Duran Golf Club in Viera, Florida.  Same place as the Southeast Regional.  Much more to follow on the tournament.

I believe the Aldila world powergolf matchplay championship here in sweden will have a bigger purse. So 3rd biggest. Smiley

Just wanted to note that since there is so much going on from May to August, that we're trying to put this APG event towards the end of September... that way it would be more helpful as the last tune up before Worlds as well...

There's already a buzz around town being generated and I hope you guys can and will support this!
Pinehurst is one of the country's "Golf Meca's" and this can only grow our exsposure!!! Stay tuned for more info!!!

Thanks!
