Can a monitor go out? The green light is OUT and cannot get the screen to show anything...is it a computer problem or screen problem?

BTW, the computer kept shutting itself off just before this happened. Now the computer stays on but no screen?

Thanks...Please!  Everytime I call my computer repair guy to take a look....it's $250+...ALWAYS!

And no matter what..he always take my computer with him?  What's up with that?

Is there any lights on the monitor? If you don't have a light usually on the monito is toast. As for your computer shutting down randomly what are you doing when it turns itself off?

Steve,

I think what he meant was what are you doing on the computer when it shuts itself down? Opening emails or running invoices etc.

Do you find it does it when you do a specific task each time?

These may not be the views shared by my sponsor, but then again the wife's not that interested in Long Drive anyway! Wink

Nothing ... it just goes out.  It seems to be fine now though...I guess?  Screen is black still!
