I get inquiries from newbies and a few others concerning this topic...you may be surprised how many ask this question:

"Do you know anybody close to me that teaches LD"?

So, if you truly know and understand and can teach the LD swing...let's compile a list here geographically with your name and telephone number and/or e-mail so others in the sport are aware of who you are and just what you can do for them!

If you do indeed teach the LD method please list info and qualifications (btw...anywhere/Worldwide)...............It just makes sense!

Geeko

And don't be shy about listing your accomplishments to enhance your qualifications...nothing the matter with hyping yourself or your skills!

if someone wants to get real creative they could make a Google map with pinpoints of teachers or people willing to help out. That way you also have locations and phone #s to contact them

I don't think I would qualify as a teacher since I have only been doing this about a year but I'm glad to hit with someone in my area and let them know what I see.  I know that hitting with guys like Klein, Montgomery and Tuaone has helped me a great deal.  Sometimes it helps to have someone else who knows what you are trying to do tell you what they see in your swing.  Best tip I received all year came from Chad Klein the day before worlds this year.  I don't think I would have gotten very far had he not helped me out.  Hit for an hour on my own and couldn't quite figure out what I as doing.  I couldn't see or feel what I was doing but when he told me what I was doing I had it down in about 10 swings.  Made all the difference.

Also, I think it is good to have someone to compete against along the way to help push you.

I'm in Northern Utah if anyone wants to hit with me. It's a little cold right now but you can still hit.

Surprised by the lack of response here?  In any case, send me an e-mail so I can recomend YOU if you do not publicly want to say or take part, why you wouldn't..I don't know.  In this manner, I can compile my own list to send those wanting to take lessons.

Of course, Steve Pratt, assembling a list....would be nice.

I am an LD teacher. Not tooting my own horn, but I have had the pleasure to work with, newbies and world champions.
Geek, I have to throw my name in the ring.

Ok, I am the BEST INSTRUCTOR, in my humble opinion.

I would suggest Jeff Criterden.  Critter knows the golf swing and the LD swing.  Cant go wrong with him.

I am not saying I am a teacher by any means but I love to hit LD and know a thing or two about the golf swing. I would love to help anyone in GA that wants to come and hit a few with me. I know it sucks flying blind as most of us do because noone close to us can swing it like we do. It is so much more productive to hit with a fellow LD guy rather than a local teacher who has no clue about generating power and distance. I work out at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, GA. If anyone in the South wants to get together to swing the big stick then hit me up. All you have to do is show up and pay for some golf balls.

I can teach any LD'er to get faster, more accurate, and more efficient (more results with less wasted motion or energy).  I have a strong science background in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology and I learned from one of the best of all time.  All of my teacher's methods are being proven on Trackman every day.

I believe my strength is in making extremely technical and precise concepts and motions extremely simple to understand.  My favorite thing to hear is, "So Steve...you mean...that's ALL I have to do?"  I seem to have a really good eye for seeing subtle things that are making things go wrong with golf swings.

As far as my own golf experiences, I was a mediocre mini tour pro who got hurt before his big shot at the PGA Tour School.  But I got enough seasoning and made enough mistakes under pressure to know which dog will hunt, and which one won't.

If you're near the Southern California, look me up.  I'm very enthusiastic about helping long drivers get better and fulfill their goals.  I worked with a number of guys in 2011 who made significant strides towards personal success.

If you're not anywhere near So Cal, I hear this Wilson character is pretty good too.   Wink

When they (Pro Lders) speak with this kind of authority and attitude....THEY HAVE TO BE GREAT AT TEACHING!!!  Toot your own horn....!  If you don't have confidence and a World Class attitude (as above) how can a pupil have confidence in what you tell (teach) them?  Good for you, Bobby, and the rest that have sent me private e-mails, and those that Posted their skills teaching LD, etc.

And all who posted (publically) and e-mailed me privately....telephone numbers gentlemen so I can give them to those that ask!  You can private e-mail me if you don't want to pubically post that info.

I have a list right above my computer...so don't forget your location as well!

I can vouch for Steve here. I got two lessons from him in person in Mesquite. Watched all the video lessons on his site and have put 1200 swings on it since. I used to get worn out hitting about 150 balls. Now it takes 350 or more. My best shot with the new swing was 396 with the vector set to Mesquite elevation with no wind. My averages are not as good as my old/other swing but I am shocked at how fast it is catching up. The fact that it is more efficient I am certain it will surpass anything I could do previously.

It is a little faster but not much.

I used to have a normal backswing I just found I was more accurate when slowing it down. My thought is that you want to be in the proper position throughout the swing. You certainly cannot make adjustments on the way down but you can on the way back. It is easier to stop if you feel off balance as well. I do that every so often.

It's funny how a really slow backswing does look odd, probably doesn't do you any harm though, it's not as though you can hit anything going back Wink
