Hey kwojcik

You have started a few threads as of lately. It is good that you want to learn as much as you can from the experienced players on incepta. But once in a while the answers you get are interesting for all of us, like the shaft question yesterday.

Please stop erasing your threads or am I missing something? The forum can be a source for info so we don“t post the same things over and over.

I think a big indicator is the head used by Adams' No 1, Jamie chose to hit the 9032 over 2 newer heads at worlds, the old saying 'if it aint broke...' springs to mind.

I hit the 9032 for the last two years.  As clubhead faces don't last forever, I have had to replace them because I needed more heads for worlds.  I chose to go with the 9088 thinking that they would be a good sub to the 9032 since the 9064 felt like I was hitting it with the headcover on.  Well, I was suprised that Adams put out another driver that was not as good and hot as the 9032.  With all of the ability and R&S they have their hands on, why would they not go back a little bit to see what made the 9032 so successful.  When your major ld spokesman still prefers it, I would take that as a hint.

I'm sure they are working on it. Maybe Coming out with a 9032 clone soon?
With a few tweaks to the design, it should be better than the 9032?
Thats what I think or heard?

Haha!! I think that statement is ironic because of all the breakage issued Adams heads have had. Just sayin;)

all adams had to do was put the 9032 face into the 9088 head design and you wouldve had a winner imo.. the 9088 is suposedly a hotter head but not as forgiving as the 9032 from what i hear..

I cracked an 88 on the crown and they replaced it right away. I never cracked any of the others. The 88 is smoking hot on ball speed by the way. As measured by the Vector using competition balls. It is hotter than the 64 and the 32. Once you learn to hit it is is a very good head. If your all over the face then the 88 is not for you if you can strike the ball well when it counts it will be very hot and long.

Mobley thinks the 88's pretty hot! With the 195 bs and 459 yard bomb!

If you can hit dead center 1/3 or 2/6 I would say that is pretty good ball striking for long drive. It seems most guys are looking to nut just one per set. I would also think that the less power you have the more you would want in bounds to give you a better chance of a good bounce and roll. Opinions on this will vary.
If those dead center strikes are also optimal shots for you then you would do well with the 88. Personally I can hit some serious slop and still be dead center.

Ha. As every other senior had the same wind. Yes Mobley doesn't miss the sweet spot. He also knows when he flushes one. Its amazing how effortless he makes it look. Just goes to show what solid ball striking can do or the long ball.
I enjoy watching him hit and chat it up on the box.

just got my new 9088 driver put together last week and as far as hitting wise it has been one of my top performers for me. The way it looks and the way it hits play into the way I was hoping it would be.
