Just wondering if anyone knows of a club builder near London ON that has experience building long drivers?  Even someone in Southwestern Ontario would help.

Thanks,

JD

Not exactly in your backyard but you might want to try Dave Bristow in Cambridge. He used to own a company called Land Golf. I'm not sure if he still does club work but it might be worth a shot. His username here is DaveBLong, a member of this board might also have his contact info. He used to sell Geek and UST among other things.

Kevin--(SBK)--Dave is up in Ottawa now I think---working and not really doing LD at the moment--Things may have changed since I last spoke with him though...

Toddo

Jason--maybe some of the other Southern Ontario fellas may have some better feedback soon too.  Its also Winter now pretty much--when Neil(Phenoix golf works) is home from Worlds you may want to get in touch with him and get a few assembled over winter with him --out of Ohio ---but he's one of the best out there too!   Hawk has a guy in Keswick area.
see ya soon.

Toddo, now that you mention it, he did relocate to Ottawa a couple of years ago. Neil is a good one to talk to for sure. He knows his stuff. Be cautious if you go to a club builder without a lot of LD knowledge. I have come across a few that may be good with standard stuff but don't really get the differences when it comes to LD. Instructors can be the same way.

I highly agree with Kevin. The best investment I made was to buy all of my own gear and basically have a fully equipped club building shop (just for me) in my garage. May not be in your budget to do that, but if it is, its worth it as you can quickly and frequently tinker with equipment , have total confidence as you know exactly how each driver was built, and if it doesnt work or anything goes wrong the only person to blame is yourself
If that isnt in the cards...
I strongly recommend sending stuff to Neil @ PGW, and dealing with him in general.
Regular clubmaking shops/golf towns etc are likely to be more expense and trouble to get things right than you imagine.
