How could you forget Sir Fraser Morley in that ranking!!!
I know he sucks at LD but he is the best photographer of us!!! And he is sexy too! Especially when he is wet...

Order of Merit = TOTAL ranking points =

RANKING = Average points per event =

Which is this meant to be?

Its nice, but its neither one nor the other and it would be good to see but as an example

Kevin Shook got 300 points in 1 event
Lars Gornasson got 326 in 5 events

In an order of merit Lars is ahead, BUT in a RANKING KEVIN SHOOK would be ahead

You agree?

This is not a perfect system, but it is a start of something. The points for the French LDC is going to be up soon.

And though we agree that Kevin Shook is maybe the better LDer he is not ahead on either total points or average. If we were doing an average there would be a need for a minimum events, probably 5, that the average was taken from. In that case Kevin has 60 on average and Lars 65 on average. Otherwise Landon Gentry could never be overtaken on a Euro ranking since the event he won is worth the most and someone else could win the rest and never catch up.

You can do one yourself, I have no problem with that. Call it what you want, include what you want. The OWGR are using a 40 event minimum, Tiger was ahead for a long time and it would have been longer and bigger lead if only the actual events were counted. Neither system is perfect for LD but something is better then nothing.

Fraser has to be in it...
He is not only sexy when he is wet but he's also for ever in the memories of that Swedish lady that passed by when he opened the curtains naked!!!

Since my better half don´t read this I agree with you!

I think why a few points are missing is because we have missed a few guys that competed at Söderby. I´ll try and get complete results from Kari to update.

I can take criticism but given the amount of time we put into LD, one gets a bit touchy Cool. We are always open to improvements but what we really need is more events so it better reflects the true status of LD. And it really is Steve Pratts list regarding values, we just set the rules of what is included.

In order to supply data for both this ranking and the world ranking, I´ve had to search Facebook pictures of LD results that people have taken, Eurosport broadcasts, mailing etc. It´s one problem LD has that needs to be better. It´s even hard to find results from LDA events.

And Yvan, you are forever etched into my memory since I saw you in Holland wearing......some really tight pants? while sliding on your stomache Grin Grin Cool

I believe there are points missing for both the Söderby event and the European Championship for some players... Wink Other than that, keep up the good work!
