I haven't been on incepta for a little while and apologize for not replying to posts....but i do have some big news...

It has been in the works for a while now(around 3 years for myself) but it is now official..... details to follow...

I am again this year hosting a super qualifier in Alberta the weekend of August 26th - 28th (www.longdrivers.com) ... but at a brand new venue!!

Black Bull Golf Resort
Ma-Me-O Beach, Alberta

(approx. 1/2 way between Edmonton and Red Deer)

We are building a new championship long drive facility!!!

i can't begin to tell you how exciting this is for me....

A beautiful 500 yard grid with a huge elevated tee box...at a growing lakeside community that is home to the second hardest golf course (slope rating) in Alberta.

Feel free to call if you have any questions  Jesse Hnidy  403-396-3923

Great news Jesse,

Lets get some hitting in at Riverbend, now that the snow is finally gone.  How is the grid?  lots of work need to be done still?  Would love to check it out next time you head out there.

Lets do some talking a about a cash event as well.

Ryan,

Would you be interested in playing in a cash scramble at the Black Bull on June 4th? I have 3 and need a fourth. $645/team includes a practice round on the 3rd. Would be a great time to show you around the facility. Give me a call and I can fill you in on the details.

That is great news Jesse, good work.  Seriously bummed that I cannot make that weekend work this summer.  Good luck with the grid/project and I will hopefully see you guys in 2012.

sounds Great Jesse if there is anything I can do to help let me know. I would highly suggest some winds socks at the tee boxes as well as at the 300 yard markers.   I will be working in  red deer this week , we should get out for a round .

Huge news Jessie!  Thanks for all your continued efforts to get ld in west can going.

Unfortunately I'll be in Ontario that week-end, a serious bummer.  Also, noticed the MT event is also that week-end, although I'm unsure how much cross over there typically is, shouldn't be much of an issue.

If a cash event happens, I'll do my best to be there.

thanks.

Greg,

That was realized after the fact so we are actually planning on moving it to the last weekend in August...26th - 28th. Maybe you and Terry could make that weekend?

Kevin,

Yes windsocks are a must. I still have your driver that was left last year. I'm in for a round whenever. Let me know when will work for you...maybe Ryan will join us?

Jesse
What District/Regions are you hosting the Super qualifier for that weekend?   How many spots do you have for Rwldc's for these dates?   Well done on all you efforts out west--sounds like your new spot will be great too.

It is confirmed now guys... I apologize for any inconvenience...

The Super Q weekend for Western Canada will take place August 26th - 28th

Toddo,
Thank you. The new venue is awesome. The Black Bull Golf Resort has really stepped up to the plate. There will be 2 spots for the open division and 1 for the senior division.

I am going to hold a cash event on Saturday, August 13th that will be similar to one two years ago in Sylvan Lake. It will give us a chance to test out the new facility and work out any bugs. Along with the cash event I am hosting a junior long drive championship that same day. The McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour stops at the Black Bull on August 11th so what better way is there to keep the youth involved in long drive. I will post details for that event very soon. In the meantime guys post here if you would be interested in coming to a cash event and maybe put on a demonstration/clinic with some juniors.

Jesse.   Great job with the site. I'd come to any cash event this summer and would be happy to help with whatever you schedule.

Jesse,
Thank you for changing your regional dates from August 12th-14th to August 26th-28th. I'm running the regional/district in Billings, MT. on the 12-14, last year we had 7 competitors in the Open division come down from Canada. Two of them qualified for Worlds Matt Gunning & Ryan Bates. Now that our qualifiers are a couple weeks apart, it gives competitors the option of going to both. I invite everyone to come down and compete. We have a great grid ask anyone who came here last year. We sent 4 OPEN & 2 SENIORS to Worlds last year.

                                                                                   Thanks again,
                                                                                    Michael Dale

I think I'll be there for both. But, I have to check, I think my holidays start during the super qualifier & I might be Saskatchewan. The original date of the event would've worked better for me :-(

Kevin, you can shag balls for us during the cash event....no need for you to keep taking all our money :-)
