Incepta will be adding a significant number of features in the coming months. As part of the migration to the new host, I'm also changing the domain.
With more than 650,000 pages served (approximately 11 million "hits" for those who still use that dated metric) per month my current host/plan wont support uploading of photos / videos etc.
The new incepta will also include many portal elements typically found in golf forums, while keeping the old content and messages intact.
Let me know your thoughts on what the new domain should be, and what features you feel the site is lacking.

Get the names all appraised by a professional and you will find that longdrivetalk.com has a much higher sale value. There is good reason for that. It is concise and describes the site within the URL itself. That is priceless.
Inceptald.com is good but non descriptive.
longdrive.ca is good but....
It is a forum where people talk about longdrive. So ....Longdrivetalk.com.... Get it?
In conversation with a guy on the range who wants to know more about the sport. Which name is easiest to remember?

I'm all for longdrivetalk.
I also agree with purging the site of all the old BS.
How about making it so that everyone has to have their REAL name as their screen name. If they want to be known by some nickname they can sign each post with it. Maybe this will help eliminate some of the ridiculous BS.

"longdrivetalk.com" is the way to go. Right now I know some long drive guys that hear the name incepta and wonder what it is. "longdrivetalk.com" is self explanatory and to the point

Longdrivetalk is definitely the way to go.
I own a company that develops mobile applications also. If you want to discuss those options I would be happy to talk about the pros and cons of that option with you.

Never underestimate the power of negative press!!!! Figure skating was hurled into the mainstream ONLY after some skanky trailer trash ho beat up her nemesis and it made the evening news!!! I think you should call it "golfheavyhitters.com"
If you search the term "long drive" now you get some key hits for long drive golf sites, but not long ago the term "long drive" gave you nothing but car hits. Most people that arent in long drive dont know what it is unless you put the word "golf in it". We are still in a bit of a bubble and, I know it is hard to believe it but it is true. Then again you need to ask the question, do you want to cater to people that dont know what long drive is? I think you do. Introduce people to the sport, even a lot of golfers would know what we do by "golfheavyhitters.com" but not necessarily "longdrivetalk.com".
