On June 11 in Decatur, Illinois Sam Turner is having an event. The winners of each division will win a certificate worth $800 to pay the buy in entry to the world's. He is planning on SS, GC, Legends divisions. He is also planning a seniors division money event for later the same day.
If you are anywhere near the mid-west and are planning to go to the worlds this year you should get yourself to Sam's  "buy in" event. This event will be at the same grid used each fall for the Decatur-Heartland Classic. Everything about this location is first class. The grid is usually down wind and we often see really big numbers. The entry fee is $140. You might be the hitter who wins the $800 buy in certificate.

hey Steve,
i was thinking about flying out for the event but saw bobby's in, so i guess I'll stay on the porch !  Grin
seriously, the heartland classic has a great group of veteran competitors signed up, and it looks to be another real fun event this year.

If Oracle shows, then Sam has to apologize to me!

(that is an inside joke Bobby, I'll give you the long version at Decatur)

Looks like a great field....can I borrow a club and some tees from someone in the SS field?

Chris, I'll apologize if you can beat me heads up with Bobby as the ref.  Just remember I'm from Arkansas also.

Bobby, the sad truth is we used to get to the events early so we could warm up...now we get there early so we can have enough time to get our back straightened out from the car ride, and for the pain killers to kick in! I can't wait to see you and that old fart Hihn!

Chris ,

went to the range and trained reeeeal ( reel ) hard ,,,, yep , another butt whoopin by Bobby !!  did manage to get one off the tee ,

shanked it into the buttocks of the open hitter i was training with .... caught him in mid swing , causing him to let go of his driver ,,,

striking the senior hitter next to him in the left thigh , dropping him like a stone with a charley horse from hades ... the sight of

all this mayhem caused a fender bender on the 45 N feeder road at the range entrance ,,,, needless to say it was quite a

sight with 2 wrecked cars ( no one hurt ) 2 hitters down on the tee line and me on the deck trying to figure out where the heck

my shot went ... i think i am ready !!!
