Here´s a little suggestion for doing small players event. I know that both Kari and me and Tony would do a couple of these if we got a little something to make it worthwhile.

I think about 500 SEK or 50 Euro is alright in entry fee to get a little to compete for. Then balls, about 24 per player is needed, and to run it, the host would receive 2000-2500SEK or 200-250 Euro. If 10 guys compete it would be 240 balls, no more than 2000 SEK. Or a better alternative would be that players bring their own, maybe Pinnacle Distance. Enough to compete with and divide what is left afterwards among the players.

With 10 guys bringing their own balls it would be 500 SEK entry and 200 SEK to the host, so 700 SEK and voila, we have an event. We could probably do 2-3 of these since our grid is permanent and Kari probably likewise. With 20 guys it would only be 100 SEK per player to the host.

Format: Depending on how many but in the spirit of to rules that we try to implement, Double-elimination if more than 12, matchplay with whatever number of players, or the superqualifier format with 3 rounds, half go to 2nd round, 2 rounds, half go through and final, 1 round. That is probably the easiest with less than 10 people.

Prizefund: 10 players
1st 2500 SEK   2nd 1500 SEK 3rd 1000 SEK
20 players
1st 4000 SEK  2nd 2500 SEK  3rd 1500 SEK  4th 1000 SEK  5th 1000 SEK

This would be an easy way for people who has never run an event to try it out if you have a place to be at or for anyone to run an easy event, make a buck and everybody gets a competition.
This is really not a question but running small events costs a bit of time and it would make it more interesting. And everybody would know the setup from the start.

Sounds good to me!

I can arrange a few, no problemas. I can also get those Pinnacle balls for a very good price, everyone who would show up would have a chance to buy them for purchase price. I am sure there are quite a few guys around Uppsala who would be interested in attending.

Practice makes permanent, not perfect. That's why we need tough quality competition practices to be able to perform at a higher level when needed. If you can't win and do well in these kind of events you can forget about being successful in the big ones. These events would be also great for those guys who are interested in becoming better long drivers or wonder if they got the horsepower to be competitive in long driving.
