Wedges

I've got to get a few wedges to match my new irons...does anyone know if the old grooves are a noticeable difference from the new grooves for an average duffer like me? Should I make it a point to search out wedges with the old grooves instead of the new ones? (I won't be playing in tournaments.)

There's a little difference but not much. Most LDers put plenty of spin on the ball. The new grooves may help you spin it less. Therefore keeping the ball on the green. Personal preference. Depends on the action you are looking for. Hope this helps??

It did help!
I've not had trouble with getting balls to stop on greens ever...when I do actually hit a green. I was thinking more from a 50 yards and in perspective, though...at that slow swing speed I'd think that it wouldn't much matter about grooves...

Within 50 yards. Depends on the shot. Wether it be higher to to get to a tough pin or lower get some good action. I like the newer grooves so I can get a little more roll if I have plenty of green to work with. If you try the new grooves and don't like the response you can always go back to old grooves. I had older Titleist forged wedges before I got some spin milled wedges. Took some getting used to. Then when I tried the new grooves it was almost in between my old non spin milled wedges and the non conforming spin milled. Like I said. Just depends on the action you prefer and what kind of shots you put on your wedges.

The new DG Spinner shaft will stop anything, no matter what grooves you have, worth investing in. I have sold 5 to members this week after they hit mine.
