I understand that there is still a lot of snow on the ground, however I was wondering if there are some best guesses on which weekends the Canada events will be held ( Sylvan for example) I'm trying the set up my summer schedule and would like go to the Eastern Canada events- ( Toronto- Quebec)

Thanks

Nothing is finalized yet in regards to ONTARIO (COLD SHOOTOUT EVENT) ---But trying to arrange it around the MID /Later weekends of JUNE---Hoping to get it back at DEER CREEK---But still confirming details at this stage----Need some others to say they will be there and offer help--with grid and general help as well still too.

Thx --as soon as something is established and set in stone---It will quickly be added to LDA and INCEPTA sites and postings.

Carson

Are you hosting REIONALs as well for EAST/Que areas--You say two qualifiers---Local, regionals,??   What formats will be used and are these two seperate events--leading to ONE or TWO regionals after??

Thx fella---much appreciated

To all wondering about Ontario and COLD SHOOTOUT---its still being delt with and HAWK (Ryan Hawkins)  .is trying to finalize best option -location and details for the event in general---still trying for the June 17-18 19th weekend .  Trying to work out final issues with DEER CREEK and then all will be posted here as well as the LDA site.    We'd like to hear from anyone who is able, willing and wanting to help us out too--grid workers, calling balls & #s and just general help at the event  as well please---lets make it bigger n better then before.

Two regionals here, two separate events - 4 open spots in total.

Same as last year 2 days of locals + a championship Sunday.

Keep us posted on the Ontario event, I was under the impression it was confirmed at Deer Creek ?

Quebec is having their own thing in September at Terrebonne but unless the put the tee on the other side of the road its going to be too short.

Thx Carson
Sounds like ya have things well on track again out east this summer then---great news and opportunities with TWO regionals and 4 spots as well.

Hawk is just trying to get the final deal and structure set up with DEER CREEK and their facilities( we dont want to have to do it elsewhere so keeping fingers crossed!)--Hopefully we'll have some great news as well for all up NORTH and in the Ontario and Canadian region's.   As soon as its all ready---Hawk will post it all here and with the LDA site.

You are right about Terrebonne too & the way that grid sets up--hopefully they will get all their info and details here soon now as well.

take care---cya this summer

By the "Way Carson", the driving range in Terrebonne is about 360 yards long but 450 yards wide, they will do the event in the width way. So, we will have a field of 450 yards long!!! So, our own thing as you said will be pretty well organised and pretty big too with the Long drive circuit that we are putting on in Quebec all summer long with 12 regionals to qualify for Terrebonne.

We are putting on this "quebec long drive challenge circuit" because long drive is not a very popular sport and for those who love the sport in Canada, there is not many LD events unless you have the money to go in the states and pay 800$ for 1 event or drive 12 hours  or more and spent a lot of money for small events !!!! Canada is a very big country, it costs a lot for LD'ers to practice our sport, so we are having this circuit to get as many local newbies as possible in the sport to make the sport grow for a very small amount of money!!

I hope that it will work and I'm sure that we will discover many talented LD'ers that don't even know they are!! And if it works, hope other provinces get involved in the same way to get more Canadians on the World map like our Albertan brothers Zuback and Sadlowski. Canada is well represented but lets put a few more Canadian names in the world's LD'ers mouth !!!!

Sounds good I think !!!!

That sounds amazing. Is there going to be a regional in Sept? For those of us who live in New England, Quebec is a closer drive than Region 1

When i talk about regionals, its regionals for the quebec finals in Terrebonne, not for Remax. And I think that you have to be a Quebec resident to qualify for Terrebonne. Then, in Terrebonne there will be a few spots for Remax.

What- Huh?- is this something lost in translation or are you actually saying that Remax Regional in QUEBEC will be for QUEBEC RESIDENTS ONLY??

Or are the TERRABONE hosts buying spots from LDA and REMAX Qualifers to offer at this event---I doubt very highly that the LDA would allow a REGIONAL to be for QUEBEC RESIDENTS only and keep others from trying to get those spots at a regional level/event --so unless they bought/purchased spots to award ---please explain what the format and dates of these suggested events are going to be held at, is thre a site director or host to discuss this with who can give better information??

Thx and regards\\

Toddo

So what I see is a PIPEDREAM to build a league/events leading to a Quebec championship?  (Best of luck too if this is the case---Sebastian had a difficult time filling a field for an event with 2 actual spots to the RWLDCs)   Is there anything actually set up yet with some of the past Hitter/Competitors from QUE (Claude Leduc, Sebastian Lebel, Martin Trudel??)---or is this just Bobby Jones & Berguy's dream and thoughts at this stage still---any actual events , information, qualifiing process's to consider and look at adding to actual long drivers sheduales at this time??

Maybe I'm wrong on this Remax qualifs, but one thing is sure, the quebec circuit will be for quebec resident only. So maybe on that fianl day, there will be 2 different comps, quebec finals and Remax qualifs for everyone!!!
