Finland vs. Sweden

Hi guys, I have been discussing about setting up a Finland vs. Sweden comp at the same time and venue with the biggest golf
competition in Helsinki, Finland. We don´t have anything sorted out yet, but i want to inform you finnish and swedish guys the
dates. So the dates would be on week 26, 30th June- 2nd July. Competition is one day competition and possibly also pro-am at the
day before competition.

Teams will have a captain, that also competes.

Here in Finland Iiro has already started to design shirts to the finnish team 

This is all the information we have at the moment but there´s more to come. This is a big opportunity and a great venue to
have a humorous and aggressive competition like this.

How about a team competition : UK, Sweden, Finland, France, Holland.
Have not met players from other European countries.
Team with captain and three best players ( or more ).

As soon as I have some of the things confirmed, I will let you know... But today, this is just hypothetic...

Actually, here is the general idea...
Date : 13th (Pro Am), 14th (National Team) and 15th (Individual Match Play) of May
Place : Around Paris
Pro Am : 18 or 24 players will play in.
National Team (4 or 5 players): UK, Sweden, Finland, Holland, France and Barbarians (including Welsh, Scottish, Swedish and French) will battle in a 6 Nations Tournament.
Match Play : Like a Tennis tournament. Certainly Invitational. 32 players
Prize Money : Working on it but pro am participation will exempt you from Match Play competition fee, all players of 6 Nations will be paid and 16 of the 32 Match Play players will be paid...
TV coverage, Web coverage and Press coverage...
Parties and some more stupid things that you know I will set up...

That will be awesome! The course is only a few drives away from where I grew up so it will be great fun! Little did I know when I was as a basketball junior running around the course that I would be standing there one day as a long driver and representing my country. Go figure.

Andy, well see next summer if you regret or not Tomorrow I´m having a surgery for my left hand that´s been like //XXX// the whole summer, so we gonna rip it next summer.

Helmet, sounds like a really great event!! Way to go Frenchy!
I think that all of the countries don´t fit to the event in Finland as we have limited time also. And actually Sweden is by far the best
country to beat! 

I haven´t now heard anything from the company that is working for te big tournament, so we still don´t know if we get this event to
our calendar. But hopefully we get the information soon.

Oh and I thought the Uk had a World Champ, a former finalist, and a beaver in their team... Might be mistaken though... :p

Hi guys, good news about Finland vs. Sweden competition! Now I can tell you 100% sure that we are going to kick ass on
the biggest golf competition in Finland. Ladies European tour comp Finnair Masters is the competitions name and we have thursday night (30th July) scheduled for long drive show. We have also got the main sponsor for the event and at least 4000€ to the winning team.

The spot where we hit is next to 18th green where is all the seats and Vip-tent.

We have also been talking about celebrity matches with fex. Teemu Selanne or other NHL players.

What I want you guys to do know is to think how many players we want to participate in one team?
And what would you like to do here? We have only limited time to make the show happen.

Hi guys!

Savilinko, we definitely don´t have 5 hours! We have approx. 1,5 hours to complete the show.
Team will consist of 4 players including finnish captain Janos and swedish captain Tumba. So Janos and Johan
will choose the other 3 players for the teams.

The prize money 4000€ will go to the winning team so that would be 1.000 per player. We aim to have fun and
hopefully we can build a good show!

To the captains, if a player is being considered, please notify them ASAP as we have regular jobs and needs to talk to both family and the boss at work for vacation. Even if 10 guy are being considered it´s good to know. Otherwise the list of eligible players will decrease as time goes by..... Or it may have already been done and I´m simply out of the loop

Alot of LD is happening within a week. Orresta 21-24th July, Knistad 25-26th July, Finland 30th July.
