Minimum 8000 yard courses and Longest courses could be stretched to 9000 and see who is the best golfer on courses that long. Basically instead of a minimum carry of 220 or more it would take about 300 yards plus carry to reach fairways limiting the field to only Long drivers. Also there would be A Long Drive Event at every venue. Please give me your feedback.

There just has to be some justice for the Great golfer who hits the long ball.  Instead of this competing only in stroke play on these really short courses. No wonder they shoot 30 under on some of these courses for 4 days.  PGA tour has its tournaments that cater to short hitters and then the majors separate the Men from the boys always.  Like how Justin Leonard or Corey Pavin can get a win and then next week the course is to long for there game, what a joke.  That tells your that on the tour distance is still a major issue and tour Players of the past,  present, and future are SCARED ! of Long yardage tracks.  They just cant go Low if you take them out of there 100 yards and in strategy.  They would struggle to make pars on Long holes. Anything over 7000 gives the tour players trouble. To me that is funny.  When I play 7000 yard tracks, It seems like Driver wedge still every hole and driver 6 iron on par 5's.  I know there are lots of great golfers with lots of talent, But at the 6000-7000 yardage tracks where you bring the short hitters into the picture for no reason it leaves the Long hitter plus handicapper searching and wondering if he or she has Game.  When some of us feel we can beat these guys on any given day there has to be some type of Tournament set up to really see who is the best. I'm not convinced that winning on the PGA tour  is where its at unless you win a Major and I havent even played tour golf, Or won on any level since Junior golf.  Its funny you have to be freakin awesome to get on Tour then the courses are a easy as pie, except the majors, those are the only real tournaments worth watching as far as challenging golf.  Look at the scores  in majors and then look at the weekly scores.  Tells me there needs to be Longer Courses or another tour to Let us play.  There would be Long Drivers and PGA tour veterans claiming the titles in the LONG drivers Golf tour.

The first tournament of the year at kapalua is 7400+ yards ranked 47 out of 51 on course difficulty for The TOUR
The second and third tournament both have 7000+.
The TOUR stop at Torrey Pines (4th event) is 7500+ yards.
TPC Scottsdale 7200+.
Trump Intl. in Puerto Rico, 7500+.
TPC Blue Monster 7250+.
Accenture Match Play, Ritz Carlton, AZ 7800+.

Par 5s over 600 yards on many of these course. With variable wind and weather, 330 from the fairway seems like a lay up to me.

Thats just in the first 11 events, The TOUR is getting longer every year. Virtually every course built in the last 3 years with TOUR dreams is 7000+.

Unfortunately for us in the Long Drive community, a 1 foot tap in counts just the same as a 345 yard drive down the pipe.

But look at it this way...the Tour wants those host courses as hard and fast as possible...I remember in 1996, at Bay Hill, no less...By the end of the tournament, the greens were dead.  If the courses get rain and the fairways get soft, I will promise you they won't play it more than 7000, yet they will say it is in the announcer's booth.

Watch who wins.  Probably someone who hits the ball far for PGA tour standards will win the first 11 tournaments. The longer hitters dominate the PGA tour. The shorter hitters can only compete on short courses or LOng courses that are so difficult that PAr is the winning score for four  days.

One of my favortite golfers and probably the most consistent golfers on the planet even over Tiger And thart is Jim Furyk, check out his  driving distance and look at his scoring average His has been around 69 and Tiger used to be 68 now tiger is 71 oooooh.  He is the only short knocker who can really contend on any course.  His spin rate must be off of the chart like 4500, but he likes it that way, and it works great for him.  So who would rise to the top on a 10,000 yard track?
