I guess I should comment on this since I have known Frank for a long time and I was the one his barb at the restaurant was aimed at.
Here is my opinion on all of this.
First of all let me say that I can care less about the gesture Frank made toward me. It came from a source that I have no respect for what so ever so I give it no weight.
What I do worry about is Franks utter disregard for his fellow competitor's. His comments to Bobby on the tee this year and his past comments simply reinforce the fact that our sport would be better off without him, and that this has been going on for years.
Some examples:
We used to have some money to play for in the pro ams, but since Frank mysteriously won almost every time that ended. We later found out that he was the only person using mulligans, and would use as many as needed.
I know it is hard to believe but back in the early 90s he cost me $100k by cheating at a World power golf event here in Denver. Frank was continually greasing up his head. When we caught him he started putting it on his legs and rubbing it on his head between shots.
Please know that this can be substantiated by several other long drivers who experienced the same thing.
I think that Frank measures his worth in life by how far he hits a golf ball, and any of us who have a real life can only feel sorry for someone like that. The biggest problem by far is all of
that Franks antics reflect on all of
us! I was truly hoping that his suspension would give him some time to think about his actions but I guess that didn't happen.
So lets all let this go and enjoy the rest of the Championship week.
By the way the LDA did a great jobs for all the pay to play divisions and my hat is off to them for making it such a great week for all of us.
Best to all,
Mike Gorton

Mike Gorton, I for one would like to thank you for your efforts and the way you have presented yourself all these years. Men like you and Pat, Bobby, Jason, Brian, Fred and the list goes on and so many. Maybe it is time for a long drivers hitters association. To protect the sport. And to improve the sport for the future. Addressing the player/hitters conduct issues.
And thank you to many not named for their effort in promoting the sport is a professional way. long drive is not golf but we can still behave and conduct ourselves like gentlemen.

Knowing what his suspension was for.. was he charged with the crime/offense? Is he a registered sex offender. If so that would be an easy one.
New rule - no registered sex offenders (for the safety of the children in attendance)
