Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know about a long drive event
that is coming up the first week of March in Georgia. The event is
probably the longest running long drive event in the history of our
sport. Last year it was not held due to conflicts with scheduling
with the LDA and the Players Tour. The event is always a very laid
back event that will be full of talented hitters from all over the
country. This event has been smaller than others in the past but this
year it looks to be a pretty big field. The field is going to be
limited to 32 hitters though. This event is unique because it offers
the competitors the ability to compete in 2-events over the weekend.
That gives everyone 2-chances to cash a check. There is a pro-am on
Saturday morning with the first event is held right after the pro-am.
The second event is held on Sunday and this event carries the largest
purse. I have listed below the breakdown of the event:

When:
March 5th and 6th. Check in Friday night, March 4th.

Where:
Metter, Ga.

Contact:
Gary Ramirez (cell # 912-682-2447)

Format:
2- day, 2- tournament event.
Day 1 Saturday morning March 5th: Pro-am followed by the first event.
Day 2 Sunday morning March 6th: Second long drive event (larger
purse).

Meals will be provided at check in on Friday night and lunch will be
provided both Saturday and Sunday.

Payout (pending completion of the Pro-am and a full field of 32-
hitters):
Saturday: Sunday:
1st- $2,750.00 1st- $4,000.00
2nd- $1,500.00 2nd- $2,000.00
3rd- $1,000.00 3rd- $1,250.00
4th- $500.00 4th- $500.00
5th- $250.00 5th- $250.00

Entry fee:
$500.00 total
$250.00 each day

Dead line for entry:
February 20th

Friday all competitors will be allowed to play the course for no
charge.

For all of you in the southeast this is a great opportunity to
compete in two events and get some tee time. This is an especially
good opportunity for all the new competitors in the sport.

Call Gary and sign up soon.

My math is rusty, but is the payout correct of a purse worth a total of $14000 and total entry fee of $16000.

Just curious.

This is just a guess but,
From just reading the post, the $2000 might be going towards the 3 days of meals for all the competitors.

But, like I said....

That is just a guess.....

Hey Steve,
The last I heard he had about 30 guys who have agreed to come out. I think this will deffinately be the biggest event he has had in years. I know I am looking forward to it. It is always alot of fun. Try to get there as early as possible to play on Friday.

See ya there buddy,

P.S. you are due for a win! I have a feeling it will be soon.
