cost you some dough if you wanna hit the callaway wedges - they rip the cover off the ball everytime you hit a shot with one - new balls please

Okay....  there's a guy named Don Wood who was the chief wedge designer for Cleveland Golf. You all know the legacy of Cleveland wedges. Anyway... he left the company and started his own line of wedges. I have two in my bag.  I can spin them from one side of the green to the other. PGA Tour Superstore in Myrtle Beach has them for like $39.00!

Hey, for those of you who don't know me, I am a pretty decent golfer and I know equipment. Just because these things are in expensive doesn't mean they aren't designed with amazing specifications. Go get them!

Hey, Matt.....

The wedges are made by Don Wood. It's his company. Here's a pic:

I don't like the artwork, but they perform wonderfully. Sort of a smoke finish.

Tom, all the irons had a hademade texture to them regarding logos etc.  Talked to Dave Woods many years ago and they wanted that one-head-at-a-time look to his irons.  So, as to make them look like they were made to order.............just like a 5 Guys burger! Grin

Well, I ended up going with the Callaway Jaws X-Series Vintage Wedges.  52, 56, & 60. (I already have a plain x-series 64).  Regular price at Golftown Canada was $139 CAD.  I got them used at www.3ballsgolf.com for $79, $89, & $89 USD.  They are considered "used", but once I have them in my hands, I can't tell the difference.  They were rated as fine used condition.  Big underestimate on their part, lol.  They seemed like "maybe" they were used in golftown (after being taped up) maybe twice.  Honestly, looked brand spankin new!   Grin

Half the ball is left on the face!! Now I see why the Square grooves are illegal, lol. There is no more dimples left on that brand new pinnacle fx long right where I hit it :-)  looks like a worn out range ball on that one spot :-)

Thanks for all the recommendations guys!  Grin

Shawn

Play with conforming wedges or your a kook!  If you are a long driver, you should have no problem spinning wedges with that wrist action!!

Shawn do they have "MD" stamped on the Hosel, if so i got the same set in right handed, and just a FYI try not to use new pro v1's untill u've worn the wedges in with a cpl thousand range balls, cause putting with a ball thats not completly round cause of tear offs and rips from your wedges make u feel like a terrible putter lol Cheesy
