I am ripping Callaway Jaws wedges off of the green routinely.  BY FAR best spinning wedges I have ever hit.

Gotta agree with the Doc, my callaway Jaws wedges with the "MD" groves spin more then any wedge i have ever used, almost to the point of annoyance, but if spin is what u want these will make ur more then happy just be prepared to change ur ball every other hole.

I won a 56* Miura K-Grind wedge earlier this year and have seen some amazing action out of that thing.  Not only on full shots, but shorter swing shots still either check or come back (depending on the greens of course).  They're a bit on the expensive side, but I must say that I LOVE that wedge.

I have 3 Alpha PF-2 wedges. 52*, 56*, & 60*.
I have to shave the whiskers off of the ball after every swing.
Love em!

Shawn, what ball are you playing?

I remember trying the Z Balata one summer in the 90's and cost myself many of strokes from the ball hitting the center of the green and ending up in the creek in front of the green from spinning back so hard. I have stuck with the Pro V1 for years now.

Thanks guys!

Guess the consensus is the callaway Jaws with the MD grooves!  52, 56, 60  Grin

............just wish they made a 64 as well   Angry

PS, my gold balls don't last long enough for me to worry about replacing them on every hole  Grin  I hit what I find, LOL.

Callaway makes the 64* in the Tour X model and Cleveland makes it int he 588.  I've got the Cleveland and it performs great.  Of course it spins like crazy because it's 64*!

I have to agree with the Purespin Wedge. I am not sure if this thing was ever legal. I think it may have been an infomercial club at one time. I have a 56 degree that will shred a ball and make it sit on a dime from 20 yards. The diamond face will make a ball stop and back up on a green like no other. It is made rather well too because I have hit tons of balls with mine with no wear on the face.

p33..never did understand why this company basically went sideways in the market?  They had everything going for them but, they continued to stick to the diamond dust face...which inturn was their fall from grace.  It always surprises me that these 'one hit wonders' don't know how to follow up a hit with another as the momentum is growing...they just seem to ride it out and when the 'hit' reaches it's peak...they seem to get lost on what to do and by the time they realize they are going sideways...it's over.  So, away they ride into the sunset.  I can tell you plenty about one hit products but the absolute worst that could have been a GIANT in the biz was Snake Eyes.  Man, what a waste...they had it all going for them...but, the Egos, Lear jets, BMW's/Mercedes, big Salaries and no limit AMEX cards took them down...so I am told.  What a shame...they could have own'ed the high end golf biz!

There are many others like this!

Vokey Spin Milled raw finish(rusty) or the Cleveland raw finish tour wedges.  The rusty really helps the spin.  My Cleveland leaves a scuff on the ball every time.
