Just to let you know that the 26 minutes show will be diffused the 16th of september at 23:00 on Eurosport 2.

Took a long time but we have 2 shows indeed... The other one should be diffused on another channel...

I just watched the show. MAN it was windy that day. Cold too! Nice broadcast, though we look bad with those numbers

I know for the numbers... At least, we will get 1000 tryers next year as they will all believe they can beat that!!!
How was the commenting part... Was the journalists good enough?

Working actually on changing the grid and being able to hit on the horse track...

And still working to explain that live dancing girls are not naked... They wear strings!!!! So, it is not so shocking for a Golf course!!!!

I taped it but I have to find how to transfer it from my DVD recorder to my computer to "youtube" it...
As soon as I find the clue, I'll post the link... But it will be the French version!!!!

I think the commentator was good but he showed, IMHO, Longdrives biggest weakness. The format. For a double-elimination to work on TV we need more than 30min of airtime. He had a hard time following it, until matchplay.

I´ve asked about opinions on a new format on here before and got 223 views but no answer. The current format is semi-ok but not good for viewers. I know most are happy about it but it is no good in bringing people to LD when only a few understands it.

I´ve had a little exchange with a wise man on ideas and he had a great one. Do matchplay all the way. Maybe one round of seeding and then matchplay. BUT do best out of 3 or 5 and the Quarter-, Semi-, and Final in best of 5 or 7. Really easy to follow, wind is no issue, alot of hitting, people know straight away what happens AND a great TV format.

Other than that, good. Nice graphics to see distances and nice little talks with players. Janos was really low key I guess they cut some . Good that they pointed out how bad weather it was.

Unfortunately, as it was a 1st time, I could only get a 26 minutes show from Eurosport...
And wasn't able to choose the speakers!!!
Really had to battle for that due to what was done (and shouldn't be) in the recent past!!!

Anyway, they seemed to appreciate the work too so, we might get 52 minutes coverage next year...
And more over, they would appreciate to get a monthly 52 minutes coverage...

So all events in Europe or anywhere else could be broacasted...

It would cost some money... Way less than what I sometimes read on that site (hope it was a joke)!!!

But sponsors would get a European visibility...

So, guys... I believe it is time to set up this World Long Drive Players Tour on!!!
Who is running event next year... Where and when?


By the way, I love that Tennis Tournament format!!!
First, a seeding round of 6 balls...
Then 3 sets of 6 balls in 8 minutes
And Final in 5 sets in 15 minutes
32 players should run in 5 hours...
