Please look at other post called "2010 European Open...." Wink Kiss!!!

Guys!

Ok, here´s the news..:
We will shoot for 4 spots into the Open division at Re Max World Longdrive Championship 2010 finals, as a joint venture with the LDA, who co-sanctions this event!

Euro titles also for women and seniors...but no spots here.
The date is set for the 18 of September at my golfcourse in south Sweden.
Patrik "hulkie dori humdaddy" Andersson and I will host you all

All players are invited to bring a Pro Am Team of up to 3 players/sponsors and one Longdriver to play friday the 17 September. A team costs 1000 euros and it means if you fix a team you DO NOT have to pay entry fee or qualify into the main draw. Entry fee will be around 250 euros depending on how many players commit etc. A team sponsor will get their logo on printing materials and we will probobly also have Swedish TV and then sponsorlogos will be on cool spots etc. Invoice and deductible off course.

We ask you to set up a team asap  We already have 6 or 7 guys who has a team!!!
We are looking for at least 12 teams plus entrees.

Sign up here or by email johan@tumba.com or simply call Patrik or I

Promoting the growth of this great sport, I remain yours beatchie PIMP...

Due to a "slight" dispute, we need a couple of days to square some matters out with parties involved.
This means...DO NOT book any flighttickets etc YET Undecided

We will keep you posted on everything!

Johan and Patrik

ps. Need for all players to tell us if you intend to bring Pro Am team or not ASAP

Hi Mr Tumba

Think it might be a struggle for anyone outside of Sweden to bring a team for 1000 euro's. Becomes a very expensive trip. I have asked my rich members and their response was a bit negative.
All being well I should be ok for the event once you have sorted any problems. Hope talks go well. Look forward to it. Been to long since I've seen Hulk Wink

Cheers

Fraser, you and all the other competitors deserve the best! You are all class act guys and I want nothing than nice things to all. However, some powers work against us at this moment Embarrassed

We have sufficient sponsors and Pro Am teams and competitors to make our budget work, just about. Travelexpenses and the 1000 euros etc makes it tough for foreign guys to get ahold of a team, this we know and have calculated with. Main thing is that you come over for a nice time and hit for titles and spots etc..

I really do not know what to do right now. Maybe we should go ahead with just a European Longdrive championship with really nice pricemoney and titles up for grabs, or maybe we should make a "Scandinavian Longdrive Challenge" with 2 or 4 spots in the open division available...

At this moment we are not "allowed" to host a European Longdrive Championships and have spots into the worlds! What to do?

I am devistated, want nothing else than us Europeans to have a chance to compete together, win the Euro title and also have a fair chance to make it into the Re Max World Longdrive Championship...But..........................

Love and Longdrives

Johan - can you elaborate on why you are not allowed to host a "European Longdrive Championship"?

thanks Johan for that, I know you and Hulk will always do the best to put on the best event possible. Be great to have a big Euro event again. Hope there's a macdonalds near Wink
I obviously don't have the facts on the this, would making it a European "Open" Ld event make any difference. So anyone could enter if they wanted, from anywhere?
Just a thought and I'm just guessing as to why you guys are not allowed to put on a Euro Finals and have no spots. Seems odd but not a supprise!  Huh? Huh?

Oooops!!!!
Flight is already booked... So let's do it!!!!!
Call it whatever you want... Give spot or don't... But DOOOOOOOOOO it!!!
By the way why don't you call it "THE Almost European LD Championship"... I am ALMOST sure it is not protected... And I am ALMOST a Long Driver... So, I feel it fits good...

Or The World European Vice Champion LD Championship... As you are the One and Only... Nobody can steal you the title!!!

I still cannot believe there are such stupid a$$holes that don't even try to put a ball in the grid that try to get money from our sport...

Anyway... The ALMOST Naked players are coming so be prepared!!!!!
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

PS: ALMO STeve as nothing to do with this... But I am ready to become captain of the ALMO'ST Naked LD Team!!!!

there is a brain in this rain soaked head of mine! Im not just good looks Wink
So my guessing would be that all World Long Drive qualifying events have to be open to all. So making it a Euro champs would stop others playing in it??
As I say thats only a guess. Well if that is the case, making it an "Open" event should make that ok?

No Richard, cant make the weekend, I am off to NY to do nothing at all to do with golf! Drink and sleep and watch the Yankees play rounders!

Have fun!

I don't think it's a case that a "European Championship" has to be open to everyone as I recall Oz/NZ qualifying was only for inhabitants...
